why not start with the best in the genre?
If you want to select some archetypal American folk music from early in it's seminal influence on the music that came after, you'd have to understand Bob Dylan, Joan BaezThis GREAT Egyptian anger is of that calaber---she is seminal.I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing her perform very,very late one night in a fantastic, VERY OLD club outside of Cairo. WOW. Reminded me of seeing Celia Cruz in NY when she was at least 85!!!

Dieser Kauf war natürlich ein musikalsches Risiko, da ich nur die Anspieltipps in Amazon gehört habe. Die Interpretin und die Musik sind aber hörenswert. Das Problem ist, dass die Stücke sehr ähnlich aufgebaut sind und dass es bei den Songs viel auf die Texte/Geschichten ankommt, die man gewöhnlich nicht versteht. Mich erinnert diese Form an den portugiesischen Fado, deren Inhalte sicherlich ähnlich sind. Eine CD hätte mir auch gereicht.

All the songs are included on another CD set called "Diva of Arabia". Since the songs are not listed on the amazon web site, there is no way to know that the songs are the same and you end up buying the same songs twice.

Eine Cd, die mir persönlich gut gefällt, daich diese Musikrichtung und die ausdrucksstarke Stimme der Sängerin mag. Für die Insider dieser Musikrichtung schon fast ein Muss.
