Made a great cat toy, not a good yarn holder.
This really looked like it was a great idea. I found that: 1. You have to use a wrench to tighten the top screws enough to keep it open. They have to be really really tight or is starts to open up and slide flat. 2: the skeins I tried to use didn't role properly. As I used them (From the outside pull, not the inside). They were either so tight my tension was way off. Or they tangled over the bar. 3: The unit itself slid all over. And I mean. ALL OVER. I had it on a table, a sofa, the floor. The cat thought it was a new play toy. I sent it back. It's a good idea. Needs work

I like it it does the job
I like it it does the job. But it's to light and it moves when you try to take the string... if it had a rubber on the bottom it would be perfect.

Kinda disappointed
The one I was sent does not hold the amount of yarn shown in the picture. It's not wide enough. All I can use it for is rewinding partial skeins.
