Finally a stylish, compact bento box and bag combo with room for snacks and drinks!
If you’ve been searching for a bento style box, packaged in a self carrying case, with room to spare for snacks and juice box/packs then you’ve found your brand! After searching endlessly and ordering a few others, it seemed certain I wouldn’t be able to find a lunch system with the above features all in one. Especially one without a review. But as a long time amazon orderer I took a chance and am quite impressed. This bag and box option changed the game. Before I found this I thought I’d have to go with buying a separate bento box and an oversized lunch container to be able to handle pre packaged snacks and drinks. If you don’t need a lot of containers or care about the seal then this will be perfect. I’ll finally be able to cut back on plastic bags! The expandability provided by a second top zipper allows for almost 2” more depth inside the bag beyond the space of the box.It does have a waterproof like seal but I’m not certain on how tight it is after long use, as the school year hasn’t quite started. My intended use will not test that regardless. Also, one of the few downfalls, it’s a bit difficult to open with only one corner having a lift access. This may prove difficult for a kid under 2nd grade level. Despite these shortcomings this Is still a great product! The durability is yet to be proven but seems on par with the standard competion and if it works well I’d be happy to buy more than one in a school year. The expandibility to fit things inside at nearly a 2” depth is the best feature here, and if that’s what you’re looking for pick one of the two designs and trust me, it’s legit. Hopefully they can expand on what they have going here (see what I did there). The small size overall will be perfect to either strap on the back a backpack or fit inside a pack without taking up too much book and binder room.A note on the strap, it is non expandable. The front pocket is very thin and goes all the length of the front panel. A good spot for notes perhaps? The plastic on the box is mediocre. Built in locking freezer packs seal the deal. I’ll try and update after a couple weeks of use.

Very Nice
Since last year I have been looking for a nice lunch bag to replace my daughter’s current bag. She very much likes her current one that she has been using since kindergarten. It has nice pockets inside and outside that she can keep all the necessities in one bag. And it is not too big or small, just the right size. But she does not like any of the colors that the company offers since last year. I was glad to find this bag on a special sale. The design of the bag is just great! Nice inside and outside pockets, good size but not overwhelmingly big or bulky. She will use her own stainless steel lunch box instead of the plastic one that comes with it. But for less than half the price of her worn out lunch bag (still a great value for 6 years of daily use), we are both very happy with this practical bag.

Works well
Love this. The ice packs snap in and out of the cover. Enough room for your meal.

Not for kids...
I mainly bought this for the container that comes with it. But it is SO hard to open. I struggle with it and my kids definitely can’t open it. I may return it.

Useful components but tight lid
Our daughter is starting preschool this year, and we’ll need to send a packed lunch with her. We chose this lunchbox, because it came with an insulated outer box, a divided container, and ice packs. The lunchbox itself is made of a thin thermal material, similar to a soft-sided cooler. The interior is gray PEVA material. I could easily wipe the inside and outside down with my soapy dish wand. The outside has a small zipper pocket, maybe a good spot to leave our girl a note. The inside has a mesh pocket. The lid flap has an extra zipper so you can extend the top to make room for items in the mesh pocket—much like an expandable suitcase. There’s also a strap with a buckle that we’ll use to clip the lunchbox to her backpack. The “Bento Box” container has three sections: one large, sandwich-sized section and two smaller, snack-sized sections. Two flat blue ice packs click into the lid of the container. The ice packs froze well and are supposedly non-toxic, which is important if my kid happens to break one. After four hours, the interior of the lunchbox was cool, but the ice packs were no longer frozen. My only complaint is that the container lid is very difficult to remove. It’s so tight, I had to pick up the container and rip it off with both hands. Obviously, if the container is full of food, this will make a big mess. I hope our daughter’s preschool teacher doesn’t mind having to yank this open every day.The container is “top shelf dishwasher safe,” but we noticed some slight warping after the first run through the wash. The pattern is plenty sophisticated for an adult to use, but our girl will enjoy the touch of pink and lime green. Overall, this is a good lunchbox that comes with a nice container and ice packs. It will be great as long as the lid loosens up a bit. At about $20 at the time of this writing, I think the price is about right.

Great Design, Hard to Open
My daughter has gotten to where she loves bento boxes for lunch. She feels fancy, and it's a good way to giver her a variety of different things in her lunch without worrying about food touching (= "contamination") or single-use plastic, which I'm trying desperately to avoid. This one has 3 compartments - 2 smaller, 1 larger, with the cold packs held in the lid of the container itself. The bag has that extra zipper which allows for some expansion, so if you wanted to sneak a juice pouch, fruit roll up, etc, you could. My concern is that I'm not sure that my kid will be able to open this. While I appreciate that the lid is tight to prevent leaks, it's very hard to open. It has one extra little flange on one corner of the lid, but even I struggled. Maybe with time and use that gets easier, but I'd hate to send her to school and have her unable to use it. This may have to be adult-only.
