Summary The Koubachi Wi-Fi Plant Sensor contains high-precision sensors. The soil sensor measures moisture and temperature in the substrate, the light sensor determines the type and intensity of the light and in addition also the ambient temperature of the plant is measured. Thanks to the built-in wireless connection of the sensor, all data are sent to the "Koubachi Plant Care Engine", where these are analyzed and evaluated. You’ll then get detailed instructions and a specific care plan for each single plant. Taking care of your plants has never been easier - even without a green thumb. The Koubachi Plant Care App Depending on the plant type, the time of the year, and your location, Koubachi's interactive plant care assistant will give you exact care instructions based on scientifically proven plant care models. You can choose a plant type from a large plant cyclopedia and connect it to the Wi-Fi Plant Sensor. When the time comes, Koubachi will send you notifications about watering, mistin, fertilizing light- and temperature-conditions. The app can be downloaded for free on the App Store, the Android Store or you can use it via the Web.

Damaged Sensor? No Support
Sensor damaged? and no response from manufacturer (koubachi). I purchased this to help me raise a coconut palm. Setup was fine and the app is ok. Sensor records moisture level, air temp, soil temp, light intensity and quality. I put this in my potted palm and left it for 3 weeks ( a full cycle) for the sensor to record everything and settle in. All seemed to work except the moisture sensor. It always read 85% to 95%, even when I went 10 days without watering. It did go down an little but not realistically. I moved it to another plant and got a similar response. The Soil and plant dried up and the moisture reading barely changed. There web support site has a convenient "contact us" with an email address. I have contacted them 3 times over 3 weeks and sent images of the the sensor data. NO RESPONSE. I have read all available FAQs and cannot resolve it. Also the advertisement is that one sensor can be used with 17 different plants which would help amortize the high price. it did not automatically retain data when I switched plants via the app. I cant find how to use with multiple plant and there is NO SUPPORT. The return policy is that the return must be approved in advance, but you cant do that because there is NO AVAILABLE HELP.

Um Koubachi, Pomegranates are not Citrus Fruits!
I ordered three of these, and I returned all three. The device itself is decent. It seems to monitor the water level of your plants as well as the internal and external temperature. When comparing this unit to an actual meter for the lighting of my grow lights, the levels were off but not by that much. The big problem here, is that the plant library Koubachi has for the meter is lacking big time. And their customer service was a joke to deal with. I was going to use these to monitor a Sweet Plum Bonsai, Pomegranate, and a Blood Orange Tree. None of these trees were in the database. And here's the kicker. When I emailed Koubachi about what I can use in the library to monitor my Pomegranate Tree, their rep 'Fabian' advised me to use a Citrus Tree. The problem? Pomegranates are not citrus. And when I confronted him about the wrong information, his response to me was 'Oops LOL'. So when their own customer service can be so reckless and provide completely wrong information, I lost trust in this product. I suggest anyone thinking of getting this, make sure your Plant, Flower, or Tree is in their library. And don't expect any good customer service if you have a problem.

Great idea needs work
Great idea but takes too long to measure light. Not sure if it measures moisture correctly.

Three Stars
It's a nice sensor, but I wish it would tell me more about nutrients as well.

This product did nothing for me
Nice idea, but it doesn't work. I could not get the sensor to calibrate. Contacted customer support and actually got an answer- they suggested replacing the batteries and doing a hard reset (which I had already done) or tinkering with the settings on my wifi. I'm not going to do that- we have many devices in our home already using the wifi and I'm not resetting it all just for this one gadget. Have returned it. That at least went smoothly. The website was useless to me, too- I though it would be nice to have a catalog of my plants, but it won't let me add more than nine. I just get an error message. Thought it was a site issue, left it alone for several days, tried again. Still get an error. I have over thirty houseplants, a list of just nine is pointless. I also disagree with some of the care instructions on the individual plant profiles, but that's another thing altogether.
