. My hunting partner took from me tossed it on the ground then blasted it with his 12 gauge. I was giving it the benefit of the doubt cause I thought maybe it was operator error. Really glad my buddy thought it was the call rather than me. I Still wonder though maybe with a little more time and effort. It arrived as promised and everything else was fine it just did not sound right to us

Love the call. Sounds like a speck. Easy enough for me to learn and sound like I know what I'm doing out there. Specks are fairly new in my area and with this call, on many a cold morning, was able to bag several of these fine eating geese. Would suggest buying this call to any waterfowler new to specks.

Adjusting to a right position to make the call

I struggled at first to get this specklebelly call to sound right. The trick is you have to almost “cough” into the call. Almost the same thing as trying to hold in a cough with your hand. That will produce the cluck. The yodels are simply stringing those clucks together doing the same thing. And you need to use a lot of back pressure when doing it. Wrap your hand around the end of the call closing it off completely. And slowly open it and find the right amount of back pressure. Overall, the call sounds pretty good, just slightly higher pitched than I would prefer. Still a good call and it does bring in geese.
