Clearcut - Flatline Silver Double Frame - 2 x 240v Sockets - 2 x Socket Backs - Campervan and Motorhome

We added 2 x 2 'C-line' style sockets in our caravan in order to provide flexibility and make appliance cable runs shorter/more tidy. These are unswitched so any connected item should really have its own on-off switch, rather than relying on plugging/unplugging to break the supply on a regular basis. Ours are protected by the same circuit breaker/residual current device as those feeding/protecting the existing distribution so there is minimal risk of overload/electric shock.I used a tank cutter with a battery powered, variable-speed hand-drill to form the two circular apertures needed for the sockets/covers. Careful positioning and measurement (twice!) resulted in a successful cut (once!) of a 'figure-eight' opening, with a small bridge of material (plywood) which could easily be removed with a pair of pliers. This means that the two sockets can be wired in parallel before positioning the assembly in the 'figure-eight' aperture. The frame holding the two sockets/rear covers was fixed into position with four small countersunk woodscrews and the outer trim clicked into place. Please do take time to look at the components & understand how everything fits together; also, give thought as to how the orientation of one socket relative to another might influence what size/style of plug, mains adaptor etc. can be accommodated most effectively. In our case, I chose 'upper' to be in 'landscape' and the 'lower' in 'portrait' - I felt this was the optimum arrangement as it caters for a wide range of plugs/adaptors/cable outlet alignment etc.*Highly recommended*
