I actually prefer this over regular rice. It’s a bigger green, slightly chewer, but definitely definitely more flavor. And in my opinion, this is just a legend, I feel like it’s more natural because it’s not bleached or processed in anyway

Best black rice I've tasted yet. Pour one 2 pound back into the rice cooker and 60 minutes later it's done. Great tasting and healthy for you.

Black rice is Much better that white rice because it does not raise glucose levels. 96 on ANDI scale. White rice is only 8 on the same scale when compared to 35 different nutritional categories.

Flavorful and good price!

The price was very good and I really wanted to love it but the texture is too soft and the flavor not appealing to me. Cooked it a few times and thought it might make a good breakfast gruel or maybe something pudding-like... Also it looks unappealing. A few spilled kernels look like mouse droppings. Not surprisingly, there was a broken bag in the Amazon box. Opening the box it looked like it had been polluted by mice then i saw no that's the Rice!

Healthy

I have been using another brand of black rice for years and decided to try this one. It looks like this is not real black rice, but deceptively colored red rice. With the previous brand, whenever I washed it the water looked like normal water when you wash rice. With this Elan so-called black rice, the water runs a deep purple as it washes the coloring off the rice, and red grains begin to appear. Even after 4 solid minutes of rinsing, the water is still purple, and who knows what they use to color it. Since it's not listed in the ingredients, it could be anything! I got a refund from Amazon and will be dumping the remainder.I'm going back to Lotus Forbidden Rice. Real black rice, clear rinse water, and outstanding flavor.
