The photos of these aren't great - they look like cheap pressed metal. In practice they are solid, neatly finished with no sharp edges and a good, positive locking action. They require a simple rectangular cutout from the door frame. They're held in place with two screws. Both are well away from the bottom edge of the door, so shouldn't be subjected to any weakening due to water ingress. If anything the screws are a little short - or they were for my doors. I've bought more for another door. Recommended.

Used them to lock a small boat table down and stop it moving under way.Care must be taken to use them in their intended direction of operation. They're normally fitted on the edge of a door so the forces are sideways on the bolt. It's obvious from the design of the bolt that it's not designed to take a "front to back" force.

Decent quality. Work smoothly. Delivered promptly. I would recommend these.Check your door is thick enough to accommodate these latches.Also check your door has enough solid wood to give a secure fixing.

Requires to be installed into a chiselled out slot, so not suitable for people without the required tools/skillsets as these are not sit on locks. Once fitted, look great

Not bad for the price, we fitted them to composite oak internal double doors they looks good once fitted. Mechanism is a little crude but adequate.

Had new doors fitted and provided these to the carpenter. He found them strong and easy to fit. They look great and have been used daily for weeks now with no issues.Very impressed.
