A beautifully written, fascinating story about a little boy, Elliott, who ventures in the Sunday rain, overcoming his shyness. It is a charming story about being new to the neighborhood, friendship, imagination, family and warmth. My 6 year old son is in love with it, and so am I! Sunday Rain makes a wonderful gift to any child, and brings so much delight and joy, not just on a rainy Sunday but on any day. I strongly recommend it!

My copy of Sunday Rain has finally arrived, and boy, was it was worth the wait! What a lovely celebration of imagination! Elliott, the main character, has just moved into his new place. As he devours one of his storybooks, he hears the sounds of neighborhood children enjoying some fun in the puddles after an afternoon storm. With some encouragement from his Mama, Elliot decides to join in the fun. With a bit of help from imagination, Elliot and his new friends embark on some childhood adventure. I highly recommend this book to teachers and parents. With themes of imaginatonation, play, and friendship, this story is one for all to enjoy!

Elliot is a delightful child who reminds us all that in order to meet new people, make new friends, or experience something new in life, we just have to take that first step. Sunday Rain came today and what a beautifully told story. Elliot likes to read and with the help of new friends, takes a fun little adventure after a Sunday rain. This book is so wonderfully illustrated and the story draws the reader in. This would be a great book for ages 4-7.

This is a wonderful concept. The illustrations are true art. The best picture books have beautiful pictures.
