Works as advertised
I purchased and used Laticrete Hydro Barrier in 2018 for a tile bathtub surround. I did my research first. Watched all videos by the manufacturer and professionals on how to apply. Bought the 6" membrane roll recommended for seams, corners, edges, etc. It worked well. The job took about three times as long as expected - I wasn't nearly as fast as the professional in the video - but I got it done. AcrylPro tile mastic was the tile adhesive. After 5 years, no leaks or shifting, tile adhered extremely tight (I removed and replaced one tile - no damages to the Hydro Barrier - and it was REALLY stuck). So, professionals and DIYers ... do your own homework but this stuff is top on my list.

Great Product if Applied Correctly
First time using this product as I've used Hydro Ban and Redgard in the past. Used this on shower walls and mortar bed pan in conjunction with Kerdi drain. Dries much quicker than Hydro Ban and seems comparable in terms of finished application except that you need to use the fabric in the corners and around drain. With elastomeric coatings you really need to let it dry completely before applying successive coats else you'll end up with built up layers that may be uncured in between and will end up blistering when you try to flood test the pan. Best to wait at least 24-48 hours between coats depending on temperature and humidity. Also you should let your mortar bed cure for at least 2 weeks. Applying this over a mortar bed with too much moisture will also cause it to blister and peel. However, if applied correctly, this product is excellent for waterproofing shower.

Great Paintable Membrane
This stuff is amazing. I use it along with the fabric. I built a shower pan using this instead of plastic. I put it under the mortar and above. Giving 5 coat and fabric tape on both. No problems. Also used it outside on an opening where a window was. Easy to work with. Shipping was easy and got here early BOTH times I ordered.

Went pretty well, ended up needing another gallon to finish ...
Went pretty well, ended up needing another gallon to finish my walk in shower project. Should have bought a 5 gallon pal. Forget the roller when applying to durarock, The roller applies it too thin and does not fill the durarock. Just get a big ole brush and keep it full of the product. It spreads nice when the brush is really full. Plan on wearing gloves and trowing away the brush after each coat.

Great so far
This is my first experience with a waterproofer. Decided to buy this for my shower that I'm building. Also purchased the waterproofing membrane for use in corners and all seams. The product went on very easily with a paintbrush in the corners and a roller for the walls. Put on two coats and probably 4 coats on the joints/seams. Only time will tell if this product truly holds up

Laticrete fixed the shipping problem.
I read the reviews on this product and was nervous about buying it because in shipping the cover would crack open some product would spill out. But because of the tilemasterga on YouTube recommended it I took the chance and bought it. Like some of the reviews said some did spill out, but not much so I could use it. I ran out, so I ordered another container of Laticrete which came in today Thursday, March 7, 2019. This time it looks like Laticrete got your message and the product was double boxed stuffed with packing material and there were no issues with container leakage whatsoever. Kudos to Laticrete for paying attention and fixing the problem because it is a good product and I will recommend it.

This waterproofing material is really easy to use and just as easy to clean up
This waterproofing material is really easy to use and just as easy to clean up. It sure beats the heck out of using tar. We also used up waterproofing fabric for the joints which I think is a really good idea. We put one, on the waterproofing fabric and then two coats over everything. Hopefully that will hold up for a long time.

This stuff is awesome!
On the advice of a few youtube videos, I decided to go with this product instead of redguard. I had heard that other products of this type are often very runny and the fumes will get to you. Laticrete Hydro Barrier outperformed! I was able to put this on a bathroom cement board with both a brush and a roller, with minimal dripping or hassles. Two coats and this wall is totally waterproof. I am very happy with this stuff. My only complaint is that the bucket size is large and you end up with lots left over....now I need to do my shed roof with it! I totally recommend this product to anyone who want to do a bathroom shower surround only ONCE, and not have to do it again in a few years due to water penetration behind your tiles or tub surround. Google it on YouTube and you will see what I mean.
