Union fittings are great
Installed as a pool aerator shutoff valve. Works as advertised. This is the third time I've had to change my aerator valve. This one seems be be much higher quality than the cheap valves I'd been getting at Home Depot. I'm guessing it will last much longer, but if and when it does need replacement the union fittings will make it a snap.
