they shrink in length and stretch in width?!
These gloves are a nice cotton fabric, very soft and absorbent, but I guess because they are all cotton, and obviously not pre-shrunk, they shrink a lot in length, and stretch in width, so that they look like a square after washing. My son's hands are small, but after washing these, they barely go above his wrist. Because he is handicapped and wears them to prevent himself from scratching his face, I just put a soft tape around them to keep them on. As a liner, they might feel uncomfortable and slip down into the outer glove. Not sure what else is out there, so for now, this is what I have to use. I would suggest to the manufacturer that they use a pre-shrunk fabric and charge a bit more.

Great gloves for handling film negatives
I bought these gloves to use while handling film negatives. I put them on whenever I'm putting negatives in storage sleeves or when I'm scanning negatives. They work great for this purpose. They are very cheaply made and fairly thin, but they don't need to be anything more than they are. So far I've just been reusing the same two over and over. I guess they may eventually wear out somehow, but even then this pack comes with enough to last a long time!

Protecting fragile items
I use these gloves when handling photos and coins, to protect the surfaces from oils and fingerprints. They fit my large hand well. I have washed them in a mesh bag. They do shrink, but stretch out again when put on. They are a little flimsy, but perhaps that is the price you pay to maintain your manual dexterity while wearing gloves.I recommend this product if you need to handle items that need protection from skin oils.

If you have average size meaty hands, these may still be too small
IMHO, I have medium-to-large size man hands. My fingers aren't exactly stubby, but my palms are meaty, and I found these gloves a tight fit. If you have meaty hands you may find these gloves on the tight side too. These gloves are really best for folks with thin palms. I'd give these anther star if they had a bit more space for the palms.(I'd get a size larger next time, but probably the fingers in an extra-large size would be too long.)

Good liners for the price
I use these to keep the sweat down while wearing rubber gloves at work, plus I seem to be allergic to something the glove is made from so it's like a protective layer between the gloves and my hands. They work fine and stretch to fit comfortably. I've ordered them 2 or 3 times now. Plus you can wash them so I personally just wash and reuse them until they fall apart then reorder.

Just Right
As mentioned in other review, these gloves extend just a fraction below the palm. I found this to be no problem, as I wanted gloves to soak up some of the sweat that builds up when wearing rubber gloves for painting and similar work. It the deep south summer, rubber gloves generate enough sweat to actually pour out the gloves and onto freshly painted surfaces. These cotton gloves will soak up some of that moisture.I have fairly large hands with long fingers, and these fit me fine.

Good Insulator
Got these to wear under latex gloves for a bit of insulating when transferring cooked meat from grill to tray or cutting board. They do this trick well...js

My boyfriend seems to like these gloves
My boyfriend seems to like these gloves. He purchased them to wear to sleep with Vaseline on his hands for dry skin. He thinks they work. The only thing is the fit is not so great, they're a little short for his hands.
