The physical appearance oozes with cheapness but functionally this scale is about as good as it gets for its price.If you do nothing but look at the pan this scale almost passes for a precision instrument. However, this effect is literally skin deep. The reflective metal top is merely a thick sticker while the rest of the body is roughly fit plastic.The scale itself is nearly dead accurate. When tested with set of F1 calibration weights the scale is off by +/- 0.1g at the higher range and less than the measurable value at less than 100g. This exactly matches the label on the face of the scale.Note: I was only able to test to 2kg and not its full range. Also the scale maybe influenced by the accuracy of the weights at the upper range.It has been reported that the usb port is fake. That is completely incorrect. The photos posted by other reviewers appear to show a micro usb port mounted to a blank board. If that were true the scale itself would be fake. The flip side of that board contains components for the lcd display and buttons. It also contains a battery change controller (wired to the usb port) and wires leading to a small LiPo battery hidden under the pan. It appears to be a 150mAh battery but I can’t be sure without peeling off the metal sticker on the pan; which would irreversibly compromise the measuring surface.When the scale is initially received it appears to be configured to require the installation of two included AAA batteries to initialize the device. Attempting to charge and use the internal battery doesn’t work without first installing the AAA batteries. Afterwards the scale reads “charge” every time the USB cable plugged in. The alkaline batteries can then be removed if desired but likely should be left in. If I were to guess if removed the scale would no longer accept a charge from the USB cable should you allow the internal battery to completely drain. This is likely why this scale has both an internal battery and AAAs.

The scale itself is Beautiful nice smooth surface makes it easy to clean. Love the fact that it takes both batteries and is rechargable!!! However my scale seems to be 1gram off all the time sometimes up and sometimes down I have tried to recalibrate it the best I can without maually doing so. I have found that the surface area matters not matter if you feel it is flat and level If your cabinet or furniture is sitting on a uneven foundation this scale will not be balanced. However knowing that I am able to just add or subtract a gram if need be. Also there is a sweet spot on right near the middle front area of the scale and it will read correctly all the time so long as the scale is sitting still. I love the switch off itself function and the light up backlight Would have been super awesome if it was pink also lol... I did notice one of my buttons was a bit pulled uo not sure if it is because I purchased this pre-owned or if this was a manufacturing dink or if that has anything to do with the reason my scale is always a gram off point??? All and all I like the scale and I hope it will serve my new little business well once I need to weigh out orders for shipping. Maybe I will give it a test run and see just how accurate she holds up next to the US Postal packaging scales. Over all it is for me a perfect fill for my necessity and a great value to my account budget!!!

This is a scam. This is not a rechargeable scale. 1 other review states this but I went off the overall reviews when I purchased it. If you would check the other reviews (I should have)Theyre not all for this scale. I believe this listing was switched to the scale at some point and originally was something else.This has a dummy USB port on it but if you look at the picture I've submitted its not actually connected to anything. Please stay away its not worth it.DO NOT BUY THISP.S The triple A batteries are probably some sort of hazard when I was taking them out of the box they were easily squished by my fingers. You literally can pinch them into any shape you want.

This scale seemed great at first for the price (I paid $9.99), however the stated max grams weight is not correct, the most I can measure is 1803 grams, not the 5000g advertised. Also when weighing sub 100g items the scale fluctuates up and down and never settles on a weight leaving me to give it my best guess. I bought this for accuracy not to make guesses.Update, the scale stopped working at all in under 5 months, this was already a 1 star unit, no it's 0

Love this little scale! I use it for measuring small packages that I ship out for work. It’s not quite as pink as I would’ve liked- a little more gold. And when I took the plastic cover off, it lifted and slightly bent the on/off button, so it’s not completely flush with the rest anymore. It’s getting a bit better the more I use it and push and hold the button. Overall, it’s a great buy and I’m happy with it.

I like that it can be recharged using a USB hub on my computer, which is the easiest to access. When it is close to or at the time to recharge, the readings get erratic and read out may have minus readings or change. The charge doesn't last as long as I would prefer, but since recharging is not difficult or a problem, it is something not considered a major drawback. It is easy to use and there are a lot of different units of measure to choose from and use. I primarily use it for food and use mostly grams and ounces. It has been used once for weighing an envelope to see if additional postage was needed.

Love my scale!! It's so pretty and goes with the rest of my pink kitchen!Although I do know how to read the instructions and I'm pretty knowledgeable about film on electronics, I appreciate and understand why they contact buyers to remove the film. If people actually read the ad or anything else, they'd figure it out quickly.I'm happy to give 5 stars all the way.Isn't it amazing how buyers have that opportunity to reply and express any concerns?I don't know why so many don't do that and instead leave a bad review.

It is the perfect size for storing, except that I don't store it as I use it three times a day to weigh my portions for my meals! It's very easy to use and don't forget to remove the "blue" sheet before using..Love it!!!! L
