Installed perfectly and appears to be OEM
Product was packed with genuine Ford Install Bolts and alignment tool. My Ford Escape did not have an active error code but it did occasionally ghost turn at stop lights. There are two really good YouTube videos; one from FordTechMakuloco and the other is from GoTech. I wish I would have purchased larger snap ring pliers but made it work with my smaller ones. I aligned it so well that I didn’t need to program it but I did program it via FORSCAN the next day to be extra safe. It’s been a few days since install and no issues at all. I plan to report back if I experience problems. I honestly think the negative reviews are from user error. If you are a DIY Mechanic, you can do it with the aid of the aforementioned videos and a FORSCAN tool to program. It took me about 1 1/2 hours taking my time following step-by-step from the YouTube video. It’s a little nerve wracking after you pull the pin after sensor install and alignment as there is no going back unless you pay another $150 for another part. Glad I took my time.

Works perfectly
I watched a youtube on how to swap this out. Things went exactly as shown. If you are capable of moderate car repairs this should not be a problem for you. The one caution: you need a really large snap ring plier to remove the snap ring in the steering column, I got one at harbor freight for $30.My steering is now back to normal.

Power Steering Torque Sensor from Power Steering Seals Worked Great!
I purchased the torque sensor for a 2008 Ford Escape from Amazon because the dealer quoted me $300 plus, so I purchased the torque sensor for half the price from Power Steering Seals. My power steering worked great after installation without the need for any computer work.Power Steering Seals is Top Rated Plus with 100% customer satisfaction. This was critical for me and helped me make my choice even though there were others at a lower price! The installation procedure is very critical if not followed correctly, otherwise the sensor will be ruined. I recommend watching the video on You Tube titled "2008-2012 Ford Escape Power Steering Code B2278 by FordMakuLoco. It takes about an hour and a half and the only special tool needed is a big o ring pair of pliers.

Does NOT work
A "1" is too high a rating for this Power Steering Torque Sensor for Ford Escape. I bought it in September 2023 and life events happened. I just had it professionally installed today Feb 1 2024 and it does not function. Actually, they started on it yesterday, Jan 31, 2024, and could not get it to work. They tried again this morning with no success. The repair shop ordered one locally from the parts house and that one works fine. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. My return window is closed of course, so I am out $158 dollars. This does not appear to be a Ford OEM part but it is definitely junk. Buy at your own risk.

The part came about a week early & was Packaged neatly and securely
The part came about a week earlier than it was supposed to. It was packaged very neatly & securely. It was the cheapest one I seen also the most expensive one was $280.00. With assistance from a U-tube video it wasn’t hard to change. After installing it my steering is very easy to the right & a little stiff to the left. The instructions & the video said that might happen & that you’ll need to have your car hooked up to a computer & have it calibrated /quick learn. The dealer wants $150.00 to do that. I was told by a mechanic that if I drive it for a couple of weeks like it is the car should learn it & it will be ok. That’s were I’m @ the jury is still out really. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because I haven’t got the steering to even out (the video & instructions that came with the part said it might need to be hooked up to a computer) & it hasn’t been installed very long ,so I don’t know the durability. Over all so far very satisfied. After driving it for about a week it didn’t seem to get much better if any, so I found someone with the proper software to calibrate it & after that it fixed the problem instantly. That made me very happy.

Worked Great!
Replaced the sensor on my 2010 Escape with 120,000 miles on it. Failed once and code showed sensor to be the fault. Then continued to function after that. Decided to replace it and this one is the same as the OEM. Local dealer priced it at $375! Bought the big hinder snap ring pliers at Harbor Freight to handle that snap ring. All went well and seems to function perfectly. I did not have to do a SAS reset. Drives fine so far.

This saved me $800.
You must find the largest snap ring pliers you can find. Everything else was simple.

Super Fast delivery to Canada
Works perfectly. Much better than the only other option that was a $1500 replacement steering column. Careful removing the steering wheel, there is a small plastic piece that cracked in mine, but it still worked

part did not work!
Installed to spec and zero improvement. There is no way to tell if the part is defective. Followed online tutorial and tried to find additional details but nothing available.
