Replacement Hose Designed To Fit Electrolux Hose with Metal Machine End, Includes 24 C Bags

I have an old Electrolux vacuum from 1981 and it just wasn't working well at all. I took it apart and checked that there was no internal obstructions and everything seemed fine. I cleaned out my old hose with my ship vac and a long 1 X 1 stick. It worked better but not like it should. I then read a review on this hose (I believe it was this hose) and the reviewer said that it made his/her vacuum work like brand new. I figured it was worth a try so I bought this one. Let me just say: IT WORKS LIKE IT IS BRAND NEW!. I don't understand why cleaning out the old hose didn't fix the problem, but it was made of a fabric material and I am guessing is was all frayed inside and was causing my problem. One of my best purchases all year.

My old Electrolux canister vacuum was hardly pulling any vacuum. After a bit of examination I realized that the original hose (the one covered with fabric) was severely cracked and so it leaked air along it entire length. I could identify my exact Electolux model, but looking at the picture of this hose I determined that it was the right one to fit the metal end of the canister with the two slide and lock slots. Indeed it fits and works perfectly. Added bonus the on/off switch on the handle which was missing from my original hose.

Very well built, better then all my originals. Unfortunately it isn't the right hose for my G model or my older model. The reason is because this hose has the two small prongs on the metal end to plug in the power sweeper. I do have a power sweeper on the G that plugs into the side with a long cord. Be informed if you have a power sweeper with no long cord that plugs in like mine, this is what you want. If you don't those prongs won't fit in the canister.Also, if you have a power sweeper with a long cord like mine, be forewarned the newer hoses are a tad thicker and less flexible then the old mesh cover ones. That makes those rubber clips that wrap your cord around the hose a struggle to put on. Also, take very careful care of that cord because they are near to impossible to replace, only repairable at best. Still,, - nothing compares to these old Electrolux vacuums!

When the hose arrived I was so excited. It was a brand new Electrolux hose. I hooked it up and vacuumed my whole house. It was more flexible than the hoses I had which were breaking down and had microscopic holes in them which were making me think my vacuum needed a tune up. The button for for the power brush attachment worked also. The hose was also longer than the old hoses I had. Great product to get my machine back to it's great performance. I really recommend this hose to anyone who has a vacuum model that this hose can replace. The vacuum store near me wanted almost twice the price for a new hose. Definitely worth the money.

I was about ready to give up on my built-like-a-tank Electrolux vacuum cleaner after the last replacement hose crapped out. That replacement hose had cost $100, and was pretty marginal. But this hose was being sold for about $50, so I thought it was worth the gamble. I know it sounds insane for somebody to rhapsodize about a vacuum cleaner hose, but that's what I'm doing. This was so well made, so sturdy--it was like the things we used to make in USA when I was young.I wish I knew the name of the company that made this, because I'd definitely buy anything they manufacture. In this era where goods are expected to fall apart within a few years, these folks are a breath of fresh air!

I was trying to fix an old electrolux and the power hose had a clog that was absolutely unmovable. It was frayed a bit also, so I wanted to find a replacement. Found this one and was so thrilled that it worked! Having the extra feature of the power switch on the hose was cool too.

I purchased this hose for my Electrolux that is about 20 years old. It fit fine on the vacuum, but It's not the same as the original in that the plastic it's made from is cheaper, thinner. It is about 6 inches shorter as well. It did fit well. Nc works well. One problem I have is that the on off switch is right where I place my hands to maneuver the carpet attachment and I accidentally keep turning off the attachment. My original hose did not have this toggle switch so I never had the problem. I am glad I was able to find a replacement hose so I can keep using my Electrolux.

This replacement hose for an older model Electrolux 1453 is exactly what I needed. The difference in suction is noticeably much better. It fits well both at the vacuum cleaner and at the carpet power nozzle attachment. It is a little over a foot longer than the original hose and there is a switch for the power nozzle which the original didn't have. This hose does not appear to be as sturdy as the more or less 35 years old original hose and is of a different material but hopefully it will hold up for some time.
