I don’t want to take them off
I bought these work boots because they’re Fire Retardant and composite toe. I’ve bought Ariat boots before but I bought wides and didn’t like the feel of them. I got 9.5 regular and I have to say that these are the most comfortable boot I’ve ever worn! I don’t want to take them off at the end of my work day and usually I’m trying to kick my boots off in my truck! I’ve owned Danners, Rocky’s, Red Wings, Under Armor, Garmonts, and gambled on a plethora of off name boots. Honestly they feel more comfortable than my Garmont boots and that’s really saying something! I was thinking of saving for a “better” more expensive pair of boots so I can cycle these with one more pair but right now I have a boot dryer I put them on every night so there’s no need and I really might just get another pair of the same thing! I wear them with Moreno wool socks and my feet don’t sweat (or at least I don’t notice it) and here we are at the end of August. They look great with my jeans but I’m thinking of putting polish on the second pair I get!

Easily some of the best boots I’ve ever had
These boots are really great. I have to be extremely particular about all my footwear after a botched ankle surgery combined w/ increasing back problems. I needed something relatively lightweight w/ toe protection & slip resistance. The shorter the break-in; the better. These boots absolutely fit the bill. I don’t think it took a whole week to break them in. Most boots are not actually waterproof; regardless of how they’re tagged & even water resistance decreases with wear. I can honestly say that these boots were 100% waterproof out of the box and stayed that way for nearly a year of very hard wearing. I’m extremely hard on boots; I usually only wear a single pair of boots; I generally don’t swap between dress shoes, athletic shoes, work boots, etc. (I polished them about once a week or so & they were fit for church). I got more than a solid year out of these boots until I accidentally spilled a considerable amount of paint thinner on them & wiped it off w/ disinfectant wipes (talk about stupid) - the leather dried very badly & split. These boots are so well made that I can still strap them on in an emergency (or if I really don’t need to worry about waterproof boots). Had I not been so foolish & hasty- I probably could’ve gotten at least another year out of these boots; which is unheard of for me. If I get 8months out of a pair these days; that’s great.

Very comfortable biot
The boot is very comfortable with a lot of ankle padding. I wear size 12 in most of my sneakers, but needed a size 11 in a wide size in these boots to fit. I have limited/recreational use for composite toe boots, so I decided to go with a cheaper pair from another brand.

The Most Comfortable Work Boot I've Had
As my headline says, these boots are easily the most comfortable I've ever worn. Very surprising.Usually, the first thing I do with a new pair of work boots is take out the insoles and replace them with one from Dr. Scholl or similar brand. No need to with this pair. The padding of the insole is more than sufficient. But more than just the insole, the entire boot is remarkably comfortable and didn't take any time at all to break in. I've purchased most of my work boots from Wolverine and it normally takes a week or two for the boots to break in and get comfortable. Not the case with these Ariat boots. They've been perfect from the first second I put them on.As for sizing, they seem to run ever-so-slightly big, not enough for one to change the size they would normally order, but be aware that there may be just a little more room in the Ariat boots.Of course, the most important measure of any work boot is durability. After a little more than two months, they are holding up remarkably well. If I remember, I'll re-visit this review in a few months with an update. For now, Ariat has found a lifelong customer.

Good in the end - Long-term update
At first I did not like these shoes and I was disappointed that they were described as being so comfortable and they were miserable to wear for more than an hour. Then I tried Dr. Scholl's arch support inserts and they are great to wear all day. So it was not the shoes but my feet that were the problem and just adding the inserts made a huge difference. The shoes are nice as they add some height w/o being heavy so it helps to keep grass out, for example, when I mow the lawn. They look good and after a couple months of work use show little wear. AFTER 15 MONTHS - the shoes are holding up to tough use really well. I have had to replace the shoelaces as the cover came off where they get tied and the inside cord is very small (but still had not broken). I put new insoles in that are even better - "PowerStep Pinnacle Plus Insoles", and I now can work very comfortably all day in these boots. I can recommend both the boots and the insoles.

Probably the most comfortable boots I've owned.
I work hard. I go through a pair of boots every 8-12 months. Been a big fan of Ariat the last few pairs I've bought. Comfort is seriously the best for my foot (normal width, low arch, don't necessarily need a ton of room into the toes but don't want to be cramped).Only other ones I can out in class with this are the 8" rig-tecs. Both really lack a super durable, aggressive sole for harsh conditions. These H2o Carbons are outstandingly comfortable (admittedly break-in took a little, and there was a little chaffing on the ankle, remedied by some mole skin), they are lightweight and I've put untold miles on them for 8-12 hours a day in all terrains in great comfort.Big downside is the soles aren't great in slippery, icy conditions. They're a summer/fall, dry-weather-only boot for me, but that's fine. They comfort they give is great during the non-icy months. Wish they had an 8" ankle, and I'd never buy another boot.

Garbage
Thought these boots were pretty solid until I went to take them off and noticed a huge rip at one of the seams. This happened in less than 3 months of owning.

Great boots
Super comfy. They are great boots. They are not CSA certified because they are USA boots but ASTM is approved by WCB..

Wrong sizing for this model, wide EE = Medium at best
My 2 stars is related to the sizing. They are advertised as ''true to size'' but their EE or WIDE is narrower than most D or MEDIUM in other brands. Quality looks good, no complaints out of the box so far, but I could not even try walking with them.It is a return for refund, and I still need new boots.
