Latex and larceny meet in this sexy thriller about Alberta (Leelee Sobieski, Eyes Wide Shut), a small-town screw-up who escapes to Canada only to move in with a beautiful but tough dominatrix. Secretly taking on her roommate's identity, Alberta gets caught between half a million stolen dollars and the brutal thugs who want it back.

Would've worked better as a straight-up thriller
I didn't think the bumbling bad guys worked at all. It would have been more effective if they were menacing. Most of the rest of the movie is played straight. It was an interesting enough premise.Alberta (Leelee Sobieski) seems to do nothing but get herself involved with trouble. Fleeing one such scenario, she stows on a bus to Vancouver, to stay with her former babysitter (Tricia Helfer). Turns out her "aunt" Celene is now paying her bills as a dominatrix. Alberta is curious, and can't help but get involved, posing as Celene. This gets Leelee into some incredibly hot outfits (as well as more trouble). I suppose that was the main appeal for me in Walk All Over Me. Actually, I did enjoy it when Celene beats up the French-Canadian guy (or whatever the hell that accent was supposed to be. His name was Rene Leblanc, or something like that, so I'm making some assumptions). Am I sensing a theme? Celene, Rene, Alberta, in a Canadian production?I'm surprised by the number of people who consider Leelee a bad actress. I've watched 3 of her movies in the last 2 nights, and she plays completely different characters in all of them. And I'm the first to point out a bad performance. Here, she plays a naive, meek young woman who gets to taste a little empowerment. She was quite good.

Clever, well-acted comedy thriller
This is about people who are sometimes in over their heads, and definitely not what they first appear to be ...Yes, it's sexy; no, it's not a sex flick. Yes, it's about a dominatrix; no it's not a torture movie (unless you count a few tortuously funny scenes).I really enjoyed it, but if anything, this is a film for the girls. The guys are not wallpaper; they think on their feet and they are connected; three-dee villains are always the best. Of course they're not going to compete as eye candy, with Leelee and Tricia. You'll probably find yourself thinking you've met Leelee Sobieski's character or someone just like that: not as smart as they think, and naive enough to thing that they're "tough". But not as dumb or naive as others might make them out to be.I've now seen the film three times. The plot twists are fun the first time round, but the acting is what brings you back. Definitely *****.

Not what it seems, but good none the less...
As a Tricia Helfer fan, this was a must see and I was not too disappointed with the story overall. Lee Lee Sobieski did an ok Canuck character and the story had enough suspense and comedy to be entertaining.

Wait until it airs on cable
The movie's a tongue in cheek, not all that funny comedy with sexual undertones (very under). And aside from about two 10 second clips where Lee Lee is actually seductive and/or affords us her once seen (in "Eyes Wide Shut") impishly seductive gaze and grin, this movie should be rated PG-13 because the only violence was when she was playfully practicing with a small whip, she accidentally slightly slapped her own leg. Okay, the scene where some guy has his head in vise and his tormentor turns the screw one turn (more comical than violent). Oh ya, she backed into a parked car and woo-hoo, crashed her stolen car thru a suburban wood fence. Honestly, you'll see more sexual content and violence on those adult TV cartoon shows. I must admit though, when Lee Lee says (in a close up head shot) "Shouldn't you be down there", that did for one brief second, give me hope for some sexual content, but alas she was referring to the guy going back to kissing her boot tips, instead of her knee. Again, wait 'til it airs on cable.

Really enjoyable movie!
It was good to see two women empowered and in control in a movie instead of the other way around.

It's ok
It wasn't the best of films. The acting was terrible and the film could have been so much better, but I have seen worse.
