I had tried a supplement that had been recommended for leaky gut, only to discover that after a month of ingesting that it was causing hair loss and thinning, to the point of almost having a bald spot. After researching, I found that was a fairly common side effect. I have since then, been taking both biotin and collagen and have found that my hair and nails have been growing out thicker and faster and more soft and shiny. I also can now feel a decent amount of stubble from regrowth from the top of my head. The other wonderful benefit, is that I stopped suffering from lower back and hip joint pains.
