Refreshing, funny, poignant, and informative. Great relaxation techniques and very good advice. I think every pregnancy needs this book. Well written.

I enjoyed the view from a labor and delivery nurse who had worked for both extremes of the spectrum. Short but good read. Contains scripture and prayers that a Christian woman would probably enjoy, which I’ve not seen in many other books.

This book is a short and fun read. Most pregnancy books feel snobby or can be overwhelming. This was such a fast read with excellent information given in an easy way. I loved it!

This book is a great look at birth from a mom and health care provider point of view and the hospital / natural birth viewpoints. This got me interested in learning more about natural birth and home birth. I loved the prayers and affirmations in the back! I would recommend to all expecting moms. Empowering.

Good read for first time moms. As a second time mama I didn't learn as much as some other books. Still would recommend reading if you have time. Lots of ideas and information about how birth process works and trusting your body.

I’m 39weeks and 4 days, I found it helpful to slow down my anxiety and doubts. Easy to read. Nice book.

I really enjoyed this book it was an easy read and a nice start to my studies of natural child birth and feeling empowered. 9 more weeks to prepare!

While the information seemed to be accurate, the book is VERY short (like, fewer than 60 pages in big print - nearly a pamphlet- and has very little in-depth information. Nothing I hadn't already learned from my cursory internet scanning - It had some basic descriptions of options on birthing, an overview of health pregnancy but it certainly didn't lend "emotional strength" or practical support as promised.It did included topics along the lines of prayers and psalms and such which was off-putting to me given there was no warning that this was a religious book. But if that's what you're looking for and you haven't done any basic research, this might help you.
