After suffering through an endless series of problems with my trimmer, I decided to try replacing the carburetor. I have several of the "Trimmer Plus" attachments and I hated the idea of all that money going down the tubes. Anyway, long story short...if you own the TB675 EC, this replacement carburetor will work for you. It comes with more replacement fuel line than you'll ever need, as well as a gasket you'll need and a couple of filters (?) I could find no mention of in the owners manual. (Yes, I always keep the owners manuals for anything I buy.)READ THIS CAREFULLY!!! The only modification I had to make was to enlarge the hole where the trigger cable linkage fits in. Be gentle when you do this - if you need to do this - or you might damage the unit. I took a drill bit and a pair of pliers and literally turned the bit by hand so I wouldn't damage anything. Installing the new carburetor is pretty straightforward. If you own one of these beasts, then you know how difficult they are to start. I followed the directions printed on the label stuck to the machine itself and it started the FIRST TIME!!! A twenty-five dollar investment has saved me from having to buy a new unit at over two hundred dollars.

The carb itself seems like it's probably fairly universal for all small-engine Troy Bilt trimmers, but there are some differences between models that can make install challenging. The carb I received had a throttle body linkage hole that was several times larger than the OE hole, and the throttle body itself was reversed, putting the idle screw and throttle cable linkage on the wrong side. Reversing the throttle body was easy (the screws are symmetrically placed), and put the idle screw and linkage hole in roughly the same place as the OE carb, but I had to sleeve the cable linkage with a short length of the supplied fuel hose to fit the larger linkage hole in the throttle body. The upside is that the hose fit both the linkage and the linkage hole perfectly, and it feels pretty secure, and they supply more than enough fuel line to accommodate. No idea yet if it'll hold, or if it'll be something I have to baby sit. Over all it was about a one-hour-job to replace both the carb and the airbox for someone who had never disassembled a trimmer before, but is more or less mechanically competent.

Bought this to replace my carb on a 4 cycle Troy built 625ec. Perfect fit and runs like new!

1st time ever writing a review. This carburetor is perfect! I've had problems for years with stalling out of idle.Wish I had changed the carb years ago. Runs better than new. No adjustments were necessary. So glad i decided to risk $15 and no longer have to replace unit for $200
