GrisportMen's Everest Hiking Boot

These boots were made for walkin......
At the time of writing this I have only had the boots for about a week, however, I have worn them everyday, twice a day for walking the dog in muddy water logged fields. I love them, they are easy to put on and take off, none of the wrestling that I am used to with other boots. They have been comfortable from the start, 1st time out walked about 7km, none of this breaking the boots in or being broken in by the boots. They are waterproof so no more damp feet.I highly recommend these boots, they are not that expensive, they do what they say on the tin. I did go 1 size up, I am a UK 11 so went UK 12 which I think is 47 European.Hope you find this review helpful!!

Grisport Everest boot v Dartmoor shoe
Edit 26/6/21: wearing boot on 4th occasion went thru field of wet long grass. Next day after drying boot some of the leather turned white. Read on Grisport website that there might be a big gap between manufacturing and purchase by customer therefore boot might need to be waxed on arrival. (This never happened with my Dartmoor but this is a bigger seller so high turnover.)Why compare the Everest boot to the Dartmoor shoe? On Grisport's UK website they say: "Our Everest trekking boots are the hi-cut version of the most popular shoe in the whole Grisport collection - Dartmoor."My photos compare the Dartmoor and Everest. My existing Dartmoor's lasted me 2 years, walking the dogs on average 5 miles a day along the canal. The Dartmoor is still wearable with the shoe still waterproof and the upper in perfect condition.Straight out of the box the Everest is comfortable and a better fit than the Dartmoor with extra ankle support. In saying that the fit is not as good as a more expensive boot but one of the reasons I go for Grisport is value so I will put up with a looser fit for the type of walking I do.Good for trekking but not sure how good the boot would be for serious hiking.I have only used the Everest twice but will update this review good or bad.

A Comfortable Boot
I have owned these boots for a year. I wear them each day for dog walking across farm and woodland, at least an hour each day as well as gardening. The previous pair of boots were cheaper but only lasted 6 month before lace hooks came off and the boots leaked. These boots show no signs of wear are comfortable and do not leak. the laces are easy to pull up tight at the bottom and are held by the lower hooks which are of the cleat type (grip the lace). It is then possible to do up the lace on the upper boot, giving good ankle support.I amsure these boots are going to last at least another year so in my view they are worth th extra outlay.

1 Year 8 Months 4,149.6 miles
Very good boots!I estimate they have walked on road and off road around 4150 miles, as I average between 59 and 60 miles per week.I think that’s pretty damn good, so I just purchased my next pair!

These Boots WILL Leak Eventually - 100% NOT Recommended.
I paid a fair bit for these boots, as I expected them to last longer. Guess what? I was WRONG. I have waxed them from day one, but after around 6 months, they started to leak - BADLY.I've probably used them less than 30 times, whilst walking the dogs, so the boots have not even seen high usage! The edges of the rubber sole peels away from the leather eventually and fails, and even with wax applied, they leak and become worthless. Such a shame. The seller should refund me really, as they are not fit for purpose.I have contacted the manufacturer/seller, and they are really NOT interested, even though they now know (probably already did) that they sell substandard products. So just know, they will probably be fine for a few months, and then start leaking severely - not exactly what you expect when paying a premium price now, is it...Waste of money in the end, and I cannot recommend.

Great value for money
I've bought these boots before and they lasted me 4 years walking twice daily with my dog. They are waterproof even if submerged briefly. I highly recommend.

Comfy boots
Second pair of these I have owned. They are like gloves for my feet. Waterproofing is great. 5*
