It's a beautiful read with so much more beyond broken Knight, proving love isn't simple; it's worth every ounce of blood, sweat, and tears.

My head, my HEART, my soul. They’ve all been touched by this story. Have you ever read a story where a lump sat in your throat from the very beginning? Where your stomach was in unexplainable knots? Where you’re saddled with nervous nail biting anticipation with every page turn? I had my expectations, I prepared myself. I knew, I just knew this story would break me, would shatter me into pieces. But, let me tell you, nothing and I mean nothing you do will prepare for the story that is Broken Knight. Broken Knight is Leigh Shen’s best book to date, TO DATE. I feel like I need rehab now just to cope with all my feelings. A standing ovation wouldn’t even come close to what she deserves for giving us this story. Shen breaks, no absolutely destroys your heart and devastates you in the most amazingly beautiful way and you’ll never be the same after.I received an arc courtesy of Social Butterfly PR and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.

This book ruins another of her books. If you want to spend a good portion of a book watching a beloved character die then this book is for you. I didn't find the hooking up by the dead wife meet cute either. This whole book smacked of manipulation and a lot of unnecessary things. I hate that it ruined one of my favorite books and I hate that it acts like people can just be forgotten as soon as they die because they set a plan to hook up their man. Nor do I believe any woman would hook up her man with someone she didn't even know well. I usually like LJ Shen but this went too far for me. It over shadows the main story. The main story wasn't great either. Very childish and they are kept a part by a series of misunderstandings.There's very little of them falling in love or feeling even in like. There's too much borderline cheating. All they do is over the top crazy things in order to set up the misunderstandings. All this for no reason. For the first time ever I was bored with this book and then pissed at the rest. I usually love LJ Shen but I loathe this book. I think she threw one book under the bus to make this one. I also agree with a lot of the other 1 star reviews, so I won't repeat. The ending wasn't satisfying. I didn't care if they got together. I didn't like Luna and Knight is barely better.

This book is a roller coaster of emotions, plot and characters which will have any fan of L.J. Shen at the edge of their seat. I know that it is a standalone but it will help anyone reading if they have read the others focusing on the HotHoles.We all know that the characters to be focused on are Luna and Knight but L.J. Shen has written a powerful novel that will make any reader look into his and her life and think about we have lived our lives. It will hit every one of your emotions and if you connect like I did to the story, you will have to stop, catch your breath and then delve back into it. But it is so worth all the sleep lost, the time spent in your favorite reading spot. This is the best book I've read this summer and could be for 2019 and that says a lot about the author.L.J. Shen doesn't treat her readers as if they don't have a brain to handle complicated storylines or actions. She knows that she will have everyone thinking, pondering and wondering where will the story goes next. She is an artist as an author. The way the words flow off the page, the way you must keep turning the page unsure of what is to come, but you can't stop. It is a perfect book to read for anyone wondering who they are in this world today and if they matter at all. BRAVO!

This is a stand alone book if your an idiot!! Before you touch this go back to the begining and make sure you read the sinners of saints series only then will you truly get the full effect of this.Don't get me wrong this book is so good it can be read as a stand alone however knowing the back story takes this from a 7 to 10!!!What can I say that won't ruin this read for you?!Brilliant book the story of our beautiful broken Knight and Luna his BFF. They have known and grown up next to one another since the day they were born, Luna is a mute as far as anyone is aware and knight is her fierce protector.This is their story where Luna has to grow and be the protective BFF as knight completly falls apart!I can't and won't tell you what triggers this, but secrets and lies would destroy anyone else.This is technicals the second installment of the All saints high series which i never thought would be as good as the sinners of saints series but I was wrong! I was also wrong when I thought you couldn't get any better than pretty reckless in this series again wrong!I loved PR and I love Bk in different ways, Bk you will need to ensure you have the tissues at the ready as it will break you but don't take my word for it read and enjoy!PS clear your day you will not want to put this down!

L.J Shen what have you done to me. Never ever did I think I would or could betray my Vicious for another but my heart can't lie. I AM IN LOVE WITH KNIGHT !!! There I have said it now. Can this amazing author write a book even more perfect than all the rest; OMG yes she most certainly can and she has. This book, these characters now totally own me forever and a day.This is Knight and Luna's story that of course you could read as a standalone but really to get the gist and all the feels you need to begin at the start, with the grown ups - the hotholes, that way you will know what the hell you are dealing with because these books will make you smile big, break your heart into a thousand pieces and then maybe put it all back together again with the memory of them all safely tucked inside.Knight - what can I say about this young man. Broken, bleeding from the inside out, on self destruct mode, in love, has a heart as big as the moon, perfectly imperfect and I couldn't adore him more. Luna, mute since childhood and his BFF, small and sometimes insignificant from the outside but inside there is a warrior waiting to break free. Luna was a shining star that nobody could really see, only Knight.I have no real words to describe how this book made me feel. It totally broke me in parts, in others my heart was so full it felt like it would burst. Honestly this book is perfection. It is phenomenal and has got to be in my opinion L.J Shen's best work to date and that's saying something. I could not put this book down even for a second. READ THIS BOOK !!" We moulded, like two distinct colours mixed together into something unique and true - a shade only we could paint with "Be still my beating heart - gah !!!

The story was a tear jerker - so definitely a good read if you want a book with angst and emotion and loss. Spoilers ahead...This book is less a love story and more a life story of knight, Luna and the characters from previous books. I haven’t read those books and was able to get into this as a stand-alone - but I did feel like it referred to a lot of other characters and events that probably happened in previous books so seemed a bit vague at times. Like I couldn’t really understand why Knight was so broken when he was in a loving family right from what this book seems to suggest was his birth. Like he’s in therapy at age 8 or 9 because he doesn’t feel anything inside - but I’m not sure if that’s because his he thinks his birth mother abandoned him or if his adopted mother has cystic fibrosis. It wasn’t really clear. Also, those I understand that the h & H were young, it still seems like he is much more immature than her and he’s besotted with her but she’s sort of using him in some ways as a crutch. It’s actually pretty sad to see how she breaks his heart. A lot of this book is about Luna finding herself and also Knight being heartbroken and trying to win her/ make her hurt. I felt like a bit of this was overdone and drawn out. I looooove angst and misunderstandings and a bit of revenge, but this went on a few too many chapters. It could have been edited better. The 2nd half of the book focused on him losing his adopted mother and more about his life in general. Again, quite a tear jerker but less about their love story and more about their life story. All in all a good book which needs a little bit of editing. However, I would recommend reading this one.

When I heard that Luna and Knight were next in the series for releases i got the feeling that this was going to be a sad book because of Rosie .I was right, I thought I was prepared for it, I was wrong. The story of these two characters, the friend zoning, the missed love, the fear, it left me talking to my kindle telling them they belong together. It left me cried out and a stone heavier due to comfort eating whilst crying and left me low on tissues. I really enjoyed it and I hope that, in future releases, for updates on past characters and let's says outcomes of their love. Can't wait for the next instalment.

I have read a lot of Leigh's work and am a massive fan of hers. She has this ability to create characters that you fall in love with, to roar with laughter one minute and sob, so hard that you wake your husband up with him wondering what the bloody he'll has happened, the next.I had a feeling I knew what the title of this book meant so I have avoided it for a long time. I was nervous to read it and whilst it 100% categorically and absolutely broke me, it will now be one of my all time favourite books with some of my all time favourite characters.I really recommend you read the sinners of saint series first along with 'pretty reckless' of this series. If you do I can guarantee these characters will feel like your family and the book will mean more to you.Congratulations Leigh, you've done it again. You really are a writing genius xxxP.S.......
