They are a little heavier than my other pair of Coatas but I knew they were going to be because I wanted the glass lense in these. To me they don't seem that much heavier than the plastic lenses but I can tell the difference..wouldn't change a thing with them. The fit is Great and I think I look really good in them compared to other sunglasses I bought. I know people complain about the prices of the Costas but you definitely get what you pay for. I've bought other name brand sunglasses "not top of the line but known brands" for less than 100.00 which is still a good amount of money to be not completely satisfied which is just wasting money so why buy something if it doesn't make you 100 percent happy. Well I am more than 100 percent happy with these Costas probably the best pair of Cosatas I've purchased and I got a great price on them (thank you Amazon and the Vendor). I constantly keep checking the prices at Amazon and every once in a while they've got more than a great deal on the sunglasses and you just gotta say "I've gotta get them" and then explain to your wife why you've bought ANOTHER PAIR OF SUNGLASSES...It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission when you are purchasing your 6th pair of sunglasses.

I purchased these glasses after losing a prescription version of them, so this is my second pair, which should tell you that I really love these glasses. I originally bought them at the recommendation of my Optometrist since I am involved in boating, sailing, fishing, and snow skiing, all which reflect a great amount of sunlight. These glasses are designed to block out sunlight not only through the lenses, but the light that typically enters around the frames, so when you are wearing them, you get superior protection from the sun. My first pair had plastic 400-series lenses, while my second pair has the glass 580-series lenses. The plastic lenses are needed if you are getting a "progressive" prescription, which is what I had, and the plastics are supposedly lighter. I really don't notice any difference in weight with the glass lenses (they don't feel heavy), but they are noticeably clearer and supposedly more scratch resistant than the plastic (per the Costa del Mar website). There is a definite difference in the wavelength of light that gets through the 400 and 580 series lenses and according to the Costa del Mar website, the 580's block blue and yellow light to cut haze. To me, the 580 lenses definitely seem clearer than the 400 lenses, but I also went from plastic (400P) to glass (580G) lenses, so it's hard to tell if it was the change from 400 to 580 or from plastic to glass. In any case, the Tuna Alley glasses with the 580G lenses are awesome. They are comfortable (I have forgotten that I am wearing them and started to look for them!) and provide incredible sun protection. I personally think that the crystal frames with the blue finished lenses are super cool looking and I get lots of comments on them, but they come un a number of colors. While they don't really need a retainer to hold them in place, I would recommend one if you are fishing or boating. I lost a pair by putting them up on my baseball cap after sundown while cleaning the deck - not a good idea. I bought the Chums retainer with the large ends which work perfectly.

The lenses are awesome low-light lenses, and allow you to see stacks of fish in holes at distance and in depth. The frame is a little bulky, and air flow is a little restricted causing them to fog occasionally when sweating.

The best sunglasses on the market hands down. My eyes are very sensitive to the sun and these make it possible for me to be outside and do whatever I want.

Los compré para mi papá y quedó encantado, maneja mucho en carretera por lo que el oftalmólogo le recomendó que usara lentes de sol y en verdad son los mejores lentes que ha probado, no los deja para nada además de cómodos los filtros que tiene te ayudan a ver mucho mejor que otros lentes de precios similaresSi pasan mucho tiempo exponiéndose al sol éstos son los lentes que necesitan.

Lente se ven bien unico inconveniente no trae la garantia ni venia en su caja original .Se mira bien se siente comodos pero la duda es si son autenticos

Not having more than 5 star, else would have given. The polarisation is found to be better than other glass. It's cool
