Xenoblade Chronicles X Original Soundtrack

Great Soundtrack for the collection
If you are looking at purchasing this soundtrack, chances are you have played this game and are looking to listen to some of this game's outstanding compositions. That's not to say that all the songs are worth a listen but anyway here is the review. The soundtrack comes with four CDs of glorious Xenoblade Chronicles X music. To ensure that I purchased the real deal I used the "Fulfillment by Amazon" option to ensure that I did not get a bootleg copy. Yes, I paid more by going with that option but with all the bootleg copies out there I did not want to take take the chance that I might get a bootleg. The soundtrack case is nice as each CD gets its own spot to be housed inside. Disc 2 is covered by the booklet that comes with the soundtrack. Now the booklet is by no means an art book, however some of the visuals are nice to look at. The booklet does have some Japanese however to my surprise all of the lyrics are typed in English. This is beneficial since most of the songs with lyrics in the game are difficult to understand even though they are singing in English. Most of the track listings are listed in English as well. I am curious as to what they were thinking when they named some of the tracks for this soundtrack. For example, most of the tracks for Disc 2 are just random characters as if someone just started typing random keys on their keyboard as they were naming the songs. Disc 4 is listed as a Bonus disc with some piano compositions and an instrumental version of "In the Forest" track. If you are looking to get this soundtrack so that you can add Xenoblade Chronicles X music to your collection, then you should not have any problems with this set.

Stellar soundtrack
The soundtrack for Xenoblade Chronicles X is amazing. When I first read about the game, I imagined it would focus on mechs and other anime tropes. As such, I was a little disappointed when I received it as a gift, unprompted. Begrudgingly, I tried it, and I was blown away by its story, its intellectually stimulating themes, and its music. For me, this soundtrack is up there with other eclectic, varied, but still cohesive soundtracks like Ocarina of Time, Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, and Trigun. There are countless music styles blended effortlessly into a whole that feels organic and right. It is one of those circumstances where the game would be good, but not great, without it. The fact that the composer references game lore and names in his songs is evidence of excellent craftsmanship. The recurring themes, expressed heartfully and devotedly in bonus tracks, speak to a level of creative effort and dedication lacking in most media.Long story short: excellent music for a great game. My only criticism is the stringing of two songs together on most tracks, presumably because most are related (e.g, day/night versions).

Four discs of New favorite music ever!
Helps me not die due to the monotonous job I have. It’s the spice of life! Please please please buy this. And no I’m not a bot or paid to review. I grew up with Hiroyuki Sawano and now he’s my all time favorite artist. The discs are in perfect condition. The case had a crack or two in it. Don’t care. Works perfectly in my CD player. Will be purchasing more of Hiroyuki’s work asap! The music is quite unique and has a bit of everything. I love the electric guitars!!!!

A very beautiful soundtrack. It takes a completely different approach than that of its former part Xenoblade. I am new to Sawano's work so it took time for this OST to grow on me. I first listened to this on Youtube... I even pirated the music (shame). But pirating just wasn't enough! I NEEDED THE OFFICIAL COPY OF XENOBLADE AND XENOBLADE X! The music was too good for me to just settle for pirated copies. I do not regret my purchases. It came to me uninjured, the case is beautiful... I LOVE IT. I never actually played the games, but I happen to just really like soundtracks. So I search, find, and listen. And if I happen to love it enough I will buy it with no questions asked. I will say it again, I REGRET NOTHING.

If you liked the game's music, this is worth getting.
I bought Xenoblade X on a whim one night, and got hooked. While I'm sure other JRPG's have music in the same fashion as this, XCX is my first JRPG, and I really like the music! This is also the first video game music album I have bought, though I came close to buying Gran Turismo 4's tracks back in that game's heyday. I listen to a variety of music, and am a novice guitarist/bassist/pianist (I don't feel I can call myself a musician, hence the long title). My tastes and musical hobbies have led me to appreciate unique music, which I feel this is. I read some reviews on the actual game, and some were trying to compare this game's music to known artists, which I don't think is right. The composer wasn't trying to write music in the style of another artist, he was writing to express and amplify feelings & emotions in and surrounding this game!...Ok, off the soapbox. If you've played XCX and didn't like the music or didn't care for it, the extra arrangements this album has isn't going to change your mind. If you liked this game's music a lot, this is worth considering. If you like game music of this type but haven't played XCX nor do you intend to, try searching the Internet, like YouTube, to listen to it there.

Best Video Game Soundtrack I've Ever Heard
Forget best video game soundtrack, this is the best MUSIC I've ever heard! I have to applaud Hiroyuki Sawano for creating this OST for arguably my most favorite video game of all time: Xenoblade Chronicles X ("XenobladeX" in Japan), and I also applaud Monolith Soft for using this soundtrack to its best potential in the game itself. It's a shame Nintendo did not give Xenoblade Chronicles X as much attention as it deserved (not to mention the unnecessary censorship), but I hope "Xenoblade Chronicles X 2" will have an equally pleasing OST.Thank you, Nintendo; thank you, Monolith Soft; and thank you, Hiroyuki Sawano. Keep up the good work, and make a sequel!- Tyler Mounce

Underrated
This soundtrack is completely underrated to an equally underrated game. This game challenged Nintendo, the scale of the world to explore and as well as being a game it is an experience. The theme for the game is survival and Sawano-sama doesn't fail to deliver that in the game's score. The world seems against you and the soundtrack is equally against you attacking you with stabs and deep beats plus the BGMs for Mira's regions are just stunning to envelop yourself into and behold. Underrated, just pure underrated. One of my top game OSTs.
