Superior to foam mats for a home gym
These rubber mats were delivered promptly and came in great condition. They were actually a lot heavier than I expected, which is a good thing. They are also true to the color advertised in the picture. I’m using them for a home gym in a bedroom. At first they had a strong rubber odor, but it disappeared after about a week. I upgraded to these rubber mats from thinner, cheaper, interlocking foam ones that I purchased on Amazon a few years back. I didn’t like the foam mats because they kept sliding on my carpet during HIIT workouts which include lots of movement. Sometimes the pieces would even unlock and it was a pain to put the mats back together. I don’t forsee this issue happening with the rubber cal mats since they are way heavier and have better grip than the slick foam mats.I haven’t actually used the mats however, because they did not come with the necessary plastic connector pins. Right now they are stacked in the corner of the room patiently gathering strength. So far Rubber Cal’s customer service has been very professional. I emailed the company directly and got a response the next day. They informed me that they were expecting to restock the pins the following week (It was a Friday that day). I’m going to send a follow up email at the end of the week for an update on the pins.I will update my review after I’ve had a chance to actually test out the product. However, so far I’ve been impressed with the density and weight of the 1 inch rubber mats and Rubber Cal’s Customer service.

Work really well
We live in a building and bought these to go under a treadmill so as not to disturb the neighbors below us. They were pricey but worth it. They deadening the sound underneath us tremendously.

Stay away! Complete trash! Scammers! -100 stars!!!
Don't! Not only is the quality and preparation bad, the manufacturers string you along as if they are working on your complaints. It's been over a month, and all I keep getting is "we'll get back to you."I bought 45 tiles where the holes for the pins are not deep enough, I was flat out told, "you could just drill them." 45 tiles, 8 holes each, that's 360 holes that I have to drill, and potentially destroy them. and the mess!! man these things are so brittle. Stay away! these things and the company are S**T!

Decent for deadlifts... but the smell is pretty strong.
Just like my headline says... these worked fine for deadlifts. I was using those soft foam gym mats before which cant really handle more than 1 plate lol. These are a pack of 3 so I put 1 on each side of the barbell then one in the center. (Or dont put one in the center)I think it's worth noting that each of these are pretty heavy. They feel like theyre 15lbs each lol.Now.. my issues are with the rubber smell and the crumbling. I keep them in a garage and the smell is really strong even when I have the fan on and garage door cracked open. The smell went away after a few months but they continue to leave crumbles.Update: these crumble a LOT... they always will. I dont think it was worth the money. Should've just paid more for high quality rogue mats.

Great if it would just stay together
Bought this instead of the cheaper amazon one because it was blue instead of black & so I could choose the exact size to go under my skiers edge. The mat itself is awesome: very thick heavy & a nice color. But the pins used to connect it are useless. They don’t hold it together & sometimes the holes the pins go in aren’t deep enough for the mats to meet so you are left with a gap. I’m going to give it a week & try to live without the mats being connected because I like the mats themselves but they may be heading back 😞 since the whole purpose was to keep from scratching the hardwood floor.

I use this at the bottom of my sons outdoor slide to prevent him from landing on the concrete. It works well.

Crumble to pieces all the time
I bought this to use in my garage to use as a stiff but rubbery surface. was extremely satisfied with how it looks and feel. BUT !! non stop crumbling, surface "lost" sections, and developed cracks where my shoes traffic on it, constant cleanup is needed around it to pick up the pieces .The above happened in two days and on all 3 pieces .Lots of potential ... very bad quality of product

and not all too bad to stand on
Thick, heavy, durable. 50 bucks for three of these is quite a steep price but i dont believe there are any alternatives if youre looking for heavy duty and eva foam just isn't going to cut it. They are thick enough to drop plates and dumbbells on, hard enough for desk chairs to roll smoothly over, and not all too bad to stand on. Why 4 and not 5, because the rubber doesn't look like it was compressed very well. The edges and corners have the potential to flake and piece off. Will see as i continue to use them if this becomes an issue. Overall satisfied.
