I had no idea the difference the silk pillow would have on my hair
I'm a side sleeper. I'm trying to grow my hair out to one length because I want a break from all the layers. the back of my hair grows so much faster than my sides. I figured this is just the way it is. But, I did notice that my sides look a little frizzy compared to the rest of my hair. A friend pointed out that I may be having breakage from my pillowcase. I have really nice sheets, so I thought there is no way. However, the seed was planted and I decided to try it. I noticed the difference it how my hair looked the very first night. My hair is smoother for sure. I think it is helping the growth on the sides, but it is too early to tell. I am so surprised how much damage my pillowcase was doing.

jury is still out
i love this! but it's not much different from the satin ones from bed bath or homegoods, of which i have about 30, change them every night like a psychopath, and wash them in the hot sanitary cycle. i will do the same with this one, so i'll see which lasts longer. my cheapies last for years before shredding ( unless they come in contact with something Velcro on one of my little rescue doggies' sweaters by accident...)

Sleek and durable
I bought this pillowcase in the natural white color a whopping 4 years ago and still sleep on it every night. It helps keep my long, dry hair smooth and healthy but better yet, it stays the same soft off-white color even though I use an acne wash that bleaches other fabrics (and marks from my eye makeup have always washed out completely). If this pillowcase ever gets too worn to use I'll definitely order another, but it still looks like new all these years later.

Thinly made. Lightweight.
This is so lightweight it barely stays on the pillow. At this price one expects a silk with more heft. Unfortunately I don’t know “gomme” and thought it would be a nice thickness.Plus the way the tags are sewn on is annoying. Even when you cut them off, that last bit of fabric still shows.

Follow washing instructions?
Many different manufacturers have different washing instructions. I followed this particular pillowcase instructions. Neither pillowcases felt the same- just lost any sheen, softness. I washed only one to see if difference after wash & there is a significant difference & most disappointing. The 2nd case I did what I have done in the past- less than 3 minutes total immersed in water with a white vinegar rinse. It seemed to do better than this manufacturer suggests. 19 Mommes are good, there is no additions like satin or additional things added like the over priced fad silk cases. I think the price here is fair but do not feature purchasing for one use then loose silkiness after 1st wash. Nonsensical!

A necessity for curly girls
I read about silk pillowcases being especially beneficial for long curly hair (which I have). After a failed attempt at using a satin pillowcase (don't bother unless you want your head to slide around all night), I decided to give silk a try. Using a silk pillowcase really does reduce the amount and severity of tangles. I never realized how much the fabric of a pillow covering impacts your hair. Since my initial purchase, I have bought two additional silk pillowcases. They are supposed to be better for your skin as well, leading to fewer wrinkles over time. I can't speak to that claim just yet, but my hair is certainly happier with the silk pillowcases. Whenever I have to switch back to cotton ones, I feel and see the difference.

Doesn't seem worth the premium price to us.
My husband and I bought these primarily for the less tangles benefit to our hair. Sadly, the $10 a set Bedsure satin pillow cases we bought around the same time, might actually be superior in this regard and for less than 1/6 the cost.I also question the quality control of theses pillowcases as both of mine came with the higher quality and priced 25 Momme tags on them.I bought Fishers Finery because of the Good Housekeeping seal and all the positive reviews. Now I wonder if they are truly any different than many of the others, some of which are likely made in the same factory in China.IF you want pillow cases to help with tangles, bed head or for help in managing frizzy, coarse or unmanageable hair, please try the satin ones first. You just might save a lot of dough.

Great unless you sleep with hands under pillow.
Love the pillow case but the opening is such that my hands get stuck in the opening. It is a folded over end and since I sleep with my hands under the pillow it wakes me up when hands end up inside and can't easily move. It would be perfect with a traditional opening.

Already has a hole
Pillowcase is soft, and arrived in good time. But I have only hand washed it once and slept on it maybe 3 nights and it already has a hole in the silk. Disappointing.
