It is posted as 1/2 inch; it is actually 1 full inch. Suitable as a “lapel pin”, not suitable as a “tie pin”...Seller needs to tune up their product description to advertise accurately. One could almost suppose that the product is described as such to encourage sales, but not incur returns...otherwise a cool enamel pin, if not otherwise useless for my intended purpose.

Only downside is that it will turn to the side when I wear it on my jacket and I have to straighten it. If the pin part was in the very center, or if there are two pin pieces, it might have not done that.
