A hilarious, drooly laugh
Very funny, beautiful-quality photos of our furry friends. I bought all 3 shake books (dogs, puppies, cats) for Christmas gifts and my family was absorbed in laughing over them for quite some time. I highly recommend all 3 books although personally I like this one even better than Shake Puppies. I enjoyed the greater variety of dogs in this one, including a number of hilariously ugly (in the best way!), droopy, drooly expressions. The puppy version is still very funny though, perfect for someone who wants the most cute factor.

Shake it off and have some fun!
Look no further to solve your holiday shopping dilemas --- EVERYONE should own this book! Carli's photography is perfection, and the photos she has chosen to include in this book are spectacular. The mid-shake dog is funny, scary, and incredibly fascinating, and Carli captures all of that and more. This is not a coffee table book you look at once and never again. I am constantly going back to it, and everyone who has come through my door has been sucked in, cover to cover. We've giggled, ooh'd, and aah'd together -- there's something to grab everyone's attention. For dogs, shaking is a way to release tension (as well as shed water), and these dog shake photos are a great way for us humans to de-stress -- there's no way you can get through this book without laughing out loud at least once! And as an added bonus, Carli is a strong advocate for animal rescue, for adopting, and for supporting differently-abled animals. Many of her "models" have great back-stories, and are worth checking out. You definitely will not regret this purchase, and hopefully our support of Carli will bring us many more wonderful photos in the future!

Liked the pics!
I gave this three stars instead of two because who doesn't love dogs, and who doesn't love great photography of dogs - especially in funny, stopped-motion shakes??!!!! However, I *thought* it would be a large coffee table book and was shocked to see that it is a dinky little book. If the ad mentioned the size, I missed it. I got several of these to give as Christmas gifts, so it was a good thing that I was giving each recipient several gifts and not just this. Hopefully they thought it was just a stocking stuffer!

Best picture book ever!!
This book will keep you smiling all the way through. The dogs look like they are from another world in some of the photos and there is nothing like it! The photographer Carli Davidson is amazing and awesome and she loves her work. She will only photograph animals who are enjoying themselves. If they get stressed, she won't take it any further. I know this from experience. My bulldog Jake did great for the photo shoot but when we went back for some promotional videos, the lights and additional people were just too scary for him and she and her bestie Amanda made sure to love on him and make him feel special even though he wasn't helping out with the video. (His sister Jazmine was a ham, however)I highly recommend this book as a gift for any dog lover or anyone who is hard to buy for. It is a great size, the pages are high quality paper that would be very difficult to tear and there is page after page of adorable cuteness. To add icing to the cake, several of the dogs in this book are rescued!

Love Love Love!
I was lucky enough to receive Shake a day earlier, and I couldn't be happier! She does a great job at capturing the pups in such a great shake. I love how Carli listed all the dogs and their names at the end as well. Definitely a good book to add to anyones collection.

Love the photo's...
Very cute dogs caught in the act of shaking off water. Awesome pics. The book itself is a bit small, maybe the size of a 45 record sleeve, but packed full of awesome photos. Definitely worth the money!!!The only negative review I saw was that there wasn't much to read. Doh! This is a picture book, get real folks, you don't buy this for the articles!!!Awesome...

Dustcover in terrible shape
Purchased the book as a gift for someone under the assumption that it was new, but when it came the dustcover was in absolutely terrible shape. It was torn up, scuffed, and covered in residue as if there had been stickers all over it. Thankfully the book inside was in fine quality, but the outside looked like it'd been thrown into a trash bin and rolled around for a few weeks until they took it out to ship it to me.

Run to the store and buy this book! It is a pleasure. Bought for myself, and then have given it to friends. Everyone loves it.
