Good radio, some issues, but still good
It's a nice little radio, I bought it because it can play MP3's from a USB, and that it has a timer. If you use a USB, the battery will die a lot quicker, and there is no shuffle function. The radio plays well, I am able to hear it clearly. The timer is great, you can set it for 30, 60, 120 or 240 minutes. If you press the timer button again after 240 minutes, it'll turn off the radio entirely. The display doesn't stay on the entire time, which I like since I use it at bedtime, but if you wanted to see the display after it's shut off, you just press any button. My main problems and why I didn't give this 5 stars, is because the controls are a little finicky, you have to really push down on them sometimes, and try to find the "sweet spot" to make them work. The battery isn't too bad, but if you use the USB, for about an hour daily, you'll need to recharge about every 2-3 days. For the radio, for about an hour daily, you'll need to recharge anywhere from 5-7 days. For a full recharge, it can take about 3-4 hours. YMMVMy antenna, began to break off at about 8 months into daily use. There are just 2 pieces holding on, so I'm going to have to purchase a new radio once those break off. I'm still able to hear the radio clearly, a little static occasionally, but I can still hear it.

Great convenience
I bought this to listen to the King James Bible as I fall asleep each night. I love the timer function! I recorded my mp3 files onto a micro-SD card (they call it a TF card?) and it will loop through either 1 file replay, 1 folder loop, or loop the entire SD card. The next time you turn it on, it starts exactly where it left off! I can listen to the whole bible end to end over the course of time without missing a verse! Very exciting ... an unexpected bonus I didn't see mentioned in the description. One problem (but easily overcome) is that sometimes when you turn it back on again, the volume is dramatically lower and won't turn up. You have to cycle through the "mode" button and it comes back to full volume capacity (without losing its place). I can also play this in my pocket as I work in the yard and not fear the electro magnetic fields from bluetooth or cell signal. I can even use it as a speaker on the deck and hear it 20 feet away. Recharging is easy, light turns green when done. Battery lasts several hours.

8 Gig SD cards give 50 Hours of MP3 music
Raddy RF28 Portable FM Pocket Radio,Have had the unit for a month and a half. The Manual leaves much to be desired. Sometimes the volume becomes very low. Tap the MODE button. It will sound like it is scanning the FM band. Tap the MODE button again and volume returns to normal. Am using 8 Gig SD card. Have 6 Gig of music loaded. About 50 hours of music. The battery that came with the unit is rated at 800. Bought two rated at 1600 that came with a charger. Getting more then double the playing time with each battery and do not have to use the unit as a charger. On FM the scan does not pickup all the listenable stations, but it is simple to add the missing ones that you want to listen to. Plugged my turntable into the aux jack. Unit fills the whole room with sound [yes, it can get loud!]

Performs Well Above Its Price Point
There are many small radios around, but this one has a feature that I particularly appreciate - it allows you to plug in a thumb drive and listen to its contents in excellent sound though an excellent speaker, something a cell phone cannot do. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I thought it was worth the gamble for the price. And, after I charged the battery and plugged in a thumb drive containing old time radio shows from the 40s and 50s (the reason I got it), it was like listening to them live. The sound was surprisingly full and immediate. My worry was that finding the files would be difficult or that I would have to listen to them in the order they were on the thumb drive, but the combination of an easy-to-read and well-lit display and the clear controls allowed me to find exactly what I was looking for, and as fast as it would be to tune a new station. In addition, I really have to say that they have exceptional Customer Care, answering my questions immediately and following up to make sure I was satisfied. I now plan to get this radio for some family members who I know will enjoy its functionality as well.

Not a good receiver
The audio quality is not great, but not terrible. Unless it is fully charged, the receiver will start to loose the signal and static invades the audio. Reception is weak. They seller offered a replacement, which I tried. It was somewhat better, but still weaker than most other receivers I've had. The plastic case is sturdy, but very slippery, so it has nothing to grip a surface with on the edges, and it is rounded off, so there is no way to stand it up so that the speaker faces the listener. It is frustrating to try and prop this up, it wants to lay on its back sending sounds to the ceiling. I don't like the long delay turning it off and on. The description says it's a "shortwave radio" but it is not. It is an FM band radio only. There are too many annoying design flaws.

Good radio for getting sports broadcast
I like digital. Easier to find stations. Antenna gets in the way and destabilizes radio. Probably should have used a wire antenna. I plug it into an external speaker, but sound quality still not great.

Unique size with extra features
This is a great radio for personal use. Its sleek design and light weight allows for it to be carried around discreetly in a shirt or pants pocket. An added feature is the ability to download music on the mini storage card when not wanting to listen to the radio or out of the broadcast area. Overall an excellent product.

Raddy RF28 Portable Radio Review.
Measuring 12 x 7 x 2 cm and weighing less than 200g, this palm sized pocket portable radio is the ideal travelling companion. The case is of good quality and does not look tacky or cheap. The buttons and switches are also of good quality. On Switch on, there is a clear backlit LCD display. By pressing the scan button, the radio will scan across the band (87.5 – 108 MHz) and memorise the stations received and store them in memory channels. It is also possible to make direct entry by keying in the actual frequency. The radio is sensitive and all stations were received without having to extend the antenna. Weaker stations would obviously benefit by doing so. The radio did not topple over when the antenna was extended and appeared quite stable. The Audio from the speaker is striking in that it is crisp, clear and has a good dynamic range. It is not possible to drive the radio into distortion by turning up the volume too loud. The sound from this radio is impressive to say the least. It is possible to insert a mini SD card containing MP3 files and play these on the radio. One can scroll through the contents of the SD card and select a file using the arrow buttons on the keypad of the radio and there is also a play and pause facility. Provision is also there for playing files from a flash drive. Whilst the file is playing the file number and name of track will appear on the screen. There is also a frequency spectrum display which appears to give an accurate display of the audio being played. Provision is made to plug an external device such as an Iplayer into the radio to play audio through the speaker. The Radio is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion 3.7v 800mAH battery which, when fully charged, will give a good 6 hours of operation. The battery may be charged with a mini USB to USB lead which may plug into any standard 5V mobile phone charger or into the USB socket on the computer. The charging light shows red for charging, green for fully charged and may be used as a mini torch by pressing the appropriate button in the keypad. In conclusion this portable radio is excellent value a £19.99 purchased from Amazon.com. The sound is very impressive indeed. I would recommend this radio without hesitation.Steve W. 03/08/2019

Well worth the price.
Superb little machine. I bought it mainly for the flash drive facility. I play my own music with the radio in my top pocket when driving. Excellent sound and plenty of volume. Recommended.

Great little radio
Punches above its weight. For its size, good sound, and well-designed controls. For a small, inexpensive radio, 5 stars.
