Echo/Shindaiwa Air Cleaner Case Carburetor Choke Plate SRM-225 GT-225 HC-152 HC-165 HC-185 PE-225 SHC-225 / P021012870

This is one of those cases for which one is better off using OEM equipment. The plate was purchased because the switch (choke/run) on the original component had broken off. The location of that switch makes it vulnerable to the action of pulling the starter cord, but that is a larger design issue. This piece fit easily into place and is working well.

Fit perfectly on my Echo 225.

The product arrived today and was a perfect fit. My weed eater crank immediately and welcomed its new attachment 😀

The housing was a little thicker than the original part on my Echo string trimmer, the factory screws were not going deep enough to properly tighten the housing to the carbeurator. Had to grind off the mounting ears to make it work, but it does work.

Part was a direct fit for my SRM-225. After removing the cover with the plastic knob, it only required removal of two Torx head screws to replace. Be sure to not disturb the carb when removing the two screws and plate that couples them and new plate will install easily.
