ST-DAG Alligator Hardshell Fitted Dreadnaught Acoustic Guitar Case

Was looking for something a bit more "different" than the standard black storage cases out there. To be honest I wasn't really sure what I was going to get based on the pics and reviews......color wise, interior or exterior. So what I got was a surprise......but in a good way. The case was medium brown not orange-ish or dark brown like the sample pics. The interior had a black plush lining, the construction quality was very good. There was a small metal (antique brass color) "Stone" plate under the handle not the gold print like the pic shows on the outside of the case (thankfully). The handle is material matched to the case, is comfortable and looks good. Overall I was very happy with what I got.........glad I took the leap of faith.....the pics should only be used as a "guide" they don't represent the actual item you will be getting, my description does.

So disappointed! The case I received doesn't look anything like the one advertised. (It is also very heavy.) It appears to be well made, but not nice to look at all, bad smell, too. I'm attaching photos to help you all to decide if you want one - because this might be what shows up. I want the lovely brown one they had shown in the photo? How do I get that one????***Update - looks like they've changed the photo in the ad to match what they're actually selling- thanks for that.

It smells like a new car inside. It looks like a million bucks from the outside. The alligator leather pattern gives it an exotic appeal, but the minute you pick it up you know it is a serious piece of protective kit. It fits exactly my Epiphone acoustic dreadnought. The crushed velvet-y looking material covers a generous amount of perfectly proportioned foam padding. There's the usual little compartment for knick-knacks and doodads and even a gadget or two. Plus some guitar picks. And you can lock this thing to keep out the kids, and if the baggage guy happens to drop it off the carousel don't worry, this here is a sturdy and handsome guitar case, and I have never seen a better one, either. I feel like a wiser, richer and more creative artist because my axe is in a stone alligator case.

Though that my Fender CB acoustic bass would fit. Close but not close enough, neck 3 inches to long. I like this case and for 110 bucks I'll keep, one day I'll have a guitar that will fit. Was going to give a 4 star rating, for the gage, it's mounted very badly to the case padding and not to the hard shell. It's an easy fix with some silicone. That just because I had it at home, if I had to drive to go get the silicone, the rating would be a three star.

The case is great. Love the styling and the protection it affords. I bought this case because of the protection and the hygrometer ( built in ), for measuring internal humidity. When the case arrived, the hygrometer has two dial hands, one upper and one lower. The lower one was detatched from the hygrometer face and laying in the bottom of the sight glass. In other words the Hygrometer is broken ... doesn't work... so much for one of the reasons I chose this case. I could send it back, but that's a lot of hassle and there is no guarantee the next one would be in any better shape. But other than that the case is very nice.

This si truly the nicest guitar case I have ever seen. It is a bit heavy, but is built to last and protect your precious instrument. I recommend it to fellows who don't mind a little heavier case than usual.

I was leary about the fit at first, but when I got it, it was a snug fit, but that will keep it from sliding I guess. The Gator looking skin of it looks great. Don't know about the moister gauge, but I won't be leaving out in the rain at any time. It was a fair price. I compared it to others that were also a brown color and this one seemed better and looked a bit cooler than the others. Anyway, I got a new bed for my favorite guitar.

This is a well made case, but the one I received is NOT the case in the photo. Stone has updated the case to a smoother, nicer looking alligator pattern and put the hydrometer inside the case where it belongs. The updatedcase in the photo, also hasa nice padded handle,unlike the one I received,which is covered with thesame bumpy 'gator tolexas the rest of the case andis uncomfortable to grip. Ireturned one of theseto an Ebay seller almost 2years ago for the samereason. They are ugly andthey probably can't get ridof the old stock. The casein the photo is the sameone that Morgan Monroeuses for their guitars... but again, that is not what I received.
