I love this kind of licorice, but most feel waxy and plastic with a weird flavor. Tractor Supply had nice ones, but I can’t find it there anymore. So…you have to try these! Sweet, tart, beautiful texture. It’s a huge bag and the price is worth it to me because I love them so much. I’ll be buying more because this bag is almost gone.

These are delicious! I found some very similar at a local candy shop but I was going through them like “candy”. So I checked trusty Amazon and found them in these bulk 2lb bags. They are my essential reading snack these days and I’ve reordered once already.* This review is for both the strawberry and the rainbow variety.

I have been eating licorice for 50 years and this is the worst I have eaten. I tried to get a refund, but it is a non-refundable item. I purchased these thinking they would be like the licorice I grew up eating, I was badly mistaken. Candy Tree Organic Lace Licorice is the best licorice laces on the market right now.

I’ve been searching for years now, for the shoestring licorice we’d always get at the gas stations. Finally found it about 5 years ago in bulk at the lolli and pops candy store at the mall but they recently stopped selling it. Besides, it was like $20 a pound there so it was too expensive to buy and really enjoy. I did a little research and looked up what was in that old licorice and discovered it was a Dutch recipe with specific ingredients. This brand was the only licorice that was reasonably priced per pound that had the exact ingredients. Ordered one bag and bam…it’s the ONE! Perfect texture, perfect flavor! It brings me back to my childhood. Ended up ordering two more bags! I highly recommend this stuff!

Bought the strawberry laces - they were more sour than I’d prefer but some may like them. Just a heads up too - When I received my order the packaging wasn’t super-secure- which was a surprise being that it is a food item.

This red string licorice is outstanding, full of strawberry flavor, great texture. It was not oily and does not have this plastic-like taste that some of the recent red string licorice products purchased on Amazon had. Best red string licorice I have purchased so far through Amazon. If anyone has a better one, please let me know.
