Hdiwousp Analog to Digital Audio Converter,Aluminum R/L RCA 3.5mm AUX to Digital Coaxial Toslink Optical Audio Adapter with Optical Cable

I need to connect a RCA sound source to a soundbar that only has HDMI and optical input. I bought this converter and I am happy that it works. Simple straight forward connection. It doesn't come with a power adapter but I have many extra USB power adapters so I used one of those it worked just fine. I gave a 4 stars for not including a power adapter.

I bought two copies of this A/D converter, manufactured at the end of March 2020. They both performed identically, in that neither produced a usable SPDIF or TOSLINK signal. Hooked up to a Tascam resampling interface all I got was silence, trying both the RCA and optical outputs. Hooked up to a Gefen TV D/A audio came through, accompanied by lots of pops and clicks. Using a Gefen TV A/D in its place worked just fine with both the Tascam and the Gefen D/A. Both copies now returned, caveat emptor.

I had REGA turn table and would like to connect to my sonos playbar and it only has optical input. that's why I purchased this so I can use my turntable with sonos playbar. when I connected provided rca cable from Rega Turntable to the Musou Converter and from converter digital output to sonos playbar input its not giving me any sound. I also have Samsung sound bar and it happened same with that as well No Sound what so ever. looks like the device I received is defective of its doesn't work as it described. sorry no star from me.

I followed the exact instructions in the manual and no matter what I did, different cables, different devices, etc I couldn't get any output. I tried 3 different cables for each end and 6 different input devices. Oddly enough the description for this item is also a lie. The 3.5mm AUX port on this device is NOT an input. Plugging headphones into it actually plays the audio that's plugged into the RCA cables. Unfortunately this does not ever output to the TOSLINK port.Useless, find another device if you want it to work. Also I can certify that this does not work with Sonos Playbars whatsoever.

This ADC works perfectly with no noticeable sound degradation. I use it to convert an analog source to digital-optical in order to run it into my optical selector box, which I think is better than selecting the sound source after everything is converted to analog, because my other sources start out as digital.The product review asks me to rate the "volume control", but this unit has no volume control, so that's why I put just one star for that.

Purchased this converter to play my analog record player thought my Digital new Bose soundbar 700.My record player has a built-in phono preamp and was very easy to connect this converter.I have this running through the optical cable on the soundbar, you just need to make sure you switch the speaker to the line that it is plugged into.The sound quality is amazing!So glad I came across this converter!

I wanted to connect my projector to Sonos playbar which only takes an optical cable while projector only had an old-fashioned AUX out. This worked really well and we get a pretty decent sound for watching movies now. No buzzing. However, there is buzzing when there is no audio signal eg when I turn off the projector. I have to disconnect the optical cable or turn off the speaker.

I used it to connect my sound bar to my TV. Used a 3.5 aux cord to connect it to the TV. Works great, no noise, audio still plays in stereo.
