BLACKHAWK410565BK-R CQC Concealment Serpa Holster for Springfield Armory XDS 3.3" Black

This is an outstanding holster. Very easy to assemble, and my XDs 9mm 3.3 locks into place perfectly. I tried both the belt attachment, and the paddle, and I agree with others that the paddle seems to hold the weapon closer to my body. Also, the paddle is worn without having to thread your belt through it, which was news to me (thanks YouTube) and is extremely secure. In fact, it's harder to take off than get on. I practiced drawing for a couple hours and not once did the holster seem anything less than extremely secure. Both the belt and paddle allow for canting options in either direction. I chose 3 o'clock and zero canting which seems to offer maximum concealment. This is an OWB, but an ordinary sweatshirt or larger t-shirt seems to avoid printing, depending on your body type.One of the reasons I bought this was the index finger release required to remove the gun. This does train you to keep your finger away from the trigger, and secures the gun from someone just plucking it out of your holster. I could swing from a trapeze with this thing and the weapon would stay put. However for the wearer, it's lightning fast. I'm relatively new to concealed carry and with just a few tries I can safely draw and take aim in under two seconds. I'm strongly considering getting one of these for my Beretta 92A1 if they make one for that model. Pesky rail....If you're looking for a perfect concealed, OWB holster for your XDs, don't hesitate. This is one great holster and I'm glad I chose it. There's a reason the reviews are so great on this thing.

Comfortable, simple assemble of holster and paddle. Belt attachment is included as well. I bought it for the purposes of open carry. Good looking, and safe to handle. When you remove the pistol from the holster, (for those of you who may be unfamiliar with the function) the release is actuated by a simple press of an extended index finger. The pistol is secure against an unwanted removal of your pistol, making it a safe method of open carry. It works very well. Your finger remains extended in a safe position, off of the trigger as you draw the pistol from this holster. It makes a satisfying click as you place it in this holster giving you the satisfaction that it is secure. Otherwise holds the pistol comfortably close to the body so you always know it is there. Strong and lightweight it is sure to last for years. Fully adjustable for a custom cant and tension. Perfect if you use a rear lasersight from laserlyte

The Black Hawk CQC Serpa Holster is a fantastic OWB holster for your firearm. Holds it safety using a button system, keeps it close and draws fast. What else could you ask for? I've watched all the videos and read countless reviews and decided this was the one. I'm glad I picked it up. One thing I wasn't sure of was the size so I decided to take some pictures with a tape measure to help you out. Everything looks bigger on the Internet so now you know.I found the materials to be excellent (but not carbon fiber as some claim). The ability to canter in different angles makes it a perfect fit for just about anyone. I'm thin so I have it tilted up a bit to keep the grip more in line with my torso. The button lock is outstanding. When used properly your finger stays in perfect line just above the trigger. There will not be any accidental shootings with this holster, just negligent ones due to misuse. I find the paddle to work best for me but the belt harness is good too.Great price too.

They work, easy draw, easy placement back in the holster. Both actions can be done with gloves. I have bought approximately 15 of these in the past for other makes and model firearms. Also a great Christmas gift. Not really a fan of kydex or form fitted holsters. I always use the paddle mount. The paddle mount will distribute the weight very well, I can run with mine while holstering a RUGER: SR 1911 (heavy). Positive retention is awesome, nothing better than an audible click. Too many tactical tools out there running the mouth about "what if situations", "every day carry EDC", and "I'm ready 24/7" but their social media has photos of them laughing in the toilet every weekend. I used to work for an agency that decreed these holster shall not be used due to some slob shooting himself in the leg. Unfortunately common sense was not a common virtue at the establishment. Millions of these units have been produced with out incident. I have never have had an incident nor have any one I know either.

I am giving this product 4 stars only because I have not used it enough yet to feel confident in a 5 star rating. That said, I am very pleased with the holster so far. It does what it is designed to do and does it well. I wear both a Springfield XDS and XD subcompact around my property. I am on and off a tractor and in and out of a Kawasaki Mule as well as working on foot. This holster keeps my sidearm secure but readily accessible. I use the paddle attachment and am pleased with the comfort level. Have not used it with just a belt and may not given the ease of use of the paddle. Will update this in time as I use the product more but am pleased with the product and its quality. I own two of these holsters and would not hesitate to buy another.

All in all terrific, but.... the belt loop + holster combo is not so good for concealed carry at all. I tightened my belt to beyond uncomfortable, and still the gun leans away from my body too much, in fact, it is uncomfortable because it grazes my arm. It is still excellent for open carry which I do 75% of the time anyways, I just have to slide the rig a little farther forward/backwards to miss my arm. Now regarding the paddle + holster: friggin' awesome. It is rock steady, tight up against my body, super comfy. I am unware of the rig considering how large the paddle component footprint is. Everything about the belt loops and paddle rig is top notch quality and construction, I'll be getting rid of my other Kydex holsters, no match to this Blackhawk.
