this was a birthday gift and was well received. I looked at it, too. The pictures are gorgeous and so many. A real coffee table show piece that you can enjoy over and over.

It was worth the wait! Kalas has captured the beauty of the land and those beautiful wild horses! Magnificent!I spent summers in that part of ND and it is exactly the way I remember it!

We are given descriptions that illustrate the dynamics of the bands, and images that literally bring those descriptions to light. Her imagery and words express a deep passion for an American icon whose future is threatened and uncertain. This beautifully made book manifests that passion.

This is an exceptionally beautiful book. It covers the four seasons of the wild horses' lives and includes, at the back, more details about each shot. The scenery is stunning and the photos of the horses are clear and dynamic. The hundreds of hours of work that went into following these horses is reflected in the quality of the result. I have a lot of horse books and this is right up there with the best of them.

I think it is a beautifully presented book from cover to cover.After seeing some of the pictures online, then getting the book it amazing how powerful the pictures are in print.The quality of the prints, the book itself and even the dust cover is exceptional.All in all, a very well done book.
