These 4-gang electrical boxes, for switches, outlets or just a large junction box, are excellent if you desire a sturdy enclosure. I really dislike wall switches or outlets which feel flimsy to the touch. With larger size multi-gang boxes this becomes more of an issue. A regular 4-gang box will flex quite a bit, even if supported at both ends. These heavy construction boxes solve that issue nicely. Nail one end to a stud, then add blocking to support the other end and screw it down. If you're going to have multi-gang switches (or outlets) in new construction these heavy-weight boxes are definitely the way to go! Well worth the extra expense. They are also available in 2-gang and 3-gang sizes.

As needed, still have to figure out the easiest way to support the non-nail end in the wall. Don't forget to purchase a face plate.
