Great Mouse with Wheel Problem...
This is my second Smartfish mouse which I readily bought (very comfortable) when I thought (stress that word) my wheel had stripped on the first one from use over the years now, however.... when the second one arrived, brand new out of the box, I found out that it had the same issue: the wheel moves randomly or... not at all? It's best described as erratic to the point I don't use it (can't)... It's very disappointing since it was not only a brand new but, seriously, this is one of the best mouses I've ever used (and I use it a lot)... Not sure what the issue is but... I honestly can't tell the difference in results (movement error) between the old and new one...Posting here in hopes someone from Smartfish sees this and can tell me if its a design flaw, batch issue or ? I can't find a customer service number or even a manufacturer website?

Awesome!
So the first one broke upon 1 day of usage. Amazon sent me another one immediately.Pro's it rocks.Con's because it broke the first time around, I am doubting how long the second one will last me.Overall:Well worth the money. If this lasts for a year, I am never switching back. My hand feels great. No more pain after the first day of use.

Didn't help my carpal tunnel
This mouse is OK if you want a new mouse and are willing to spend $50 on it. I don't recommend it if you're getting ti because you have carpal tunnel. I bought mine after it was recommended by my physical therapist for carpal tunnel and tendinitis. I didn't find that it helped at all, and since I am not used to a wireless mouse, I go through tons of batteries because I always forget to turn it off. It does work well and is very smooth, but if you are looking for an ergonomic product to help with carpal tunnel, check out the Smartfish Technologies K2418B ErgoMotion Keyboard instead. It's worth every penny. Also, if these products are out of stock, it takes months for Smartfish to get more, so be prepared to wait 1-2 months, no matter who you buy from.

I Love my ErgoMotion Mouse
I just received my ErgoMotion Mouse. I was looking for an ergonomic replacement for my previous Microsoft mouse that died on me after several years of loyal service. I was very frustrated with the options available for left handed users. I came across Smartfish Technologies web site a few months ago, before the mouse was available, and decided that this would be my next mouse (I used my "back-up" mouse until now, a wired $3 mouse). I kept checking back to see about availability and when I saw that Amazon had a few in stock, I jumped at it and it arrived today. I love the ErgoMotion Mouse. It took me a few minutes to get used to it, Its a little larger than I expected, I had to decide whether its more comfortable to use a palm rest or not, and I had to adjust the pointer speed in the mouse settings. Now I am happy. My months of suffering with my uncomfortable back-up mouse is over. I highly recommend the ErgoMotion Mouse. It is comfortable, seems to be well made and the pivoting top has just the right amount of resistance. At first I found that I was accidentally pressing the buttons while moving the mouse, but after a few minutes, I'm used to it. It is a great product.

Good idea but...
Good idea but in practice I don't think it works, at least not for me. Let me tell you why.First of all, this is a very basic mouse: Two buttons plus a scroll wheel. This shouldn't surprise you if you read the item's description but it's definitively something to keep in mind if you're already used to some power buttons like Back/Next/Zoom/etc. Not to mention scroll-wheels are always RSI culprits. Then, I'd say the construction quality is average. Mine has a loose piece inside of it (you can tell when you shake it). It doesn't interfere with the mouse's performance but it's disturbing. The plastic quality looks decent but unimpressive. However the main reason I'm giving it only two stars is because it doesn't deliver: The most natural position for the wrist is either completely vertical (90 degrees like the Vertical Mouse) or at a steep angle (Wow Pen, MS Natural 6000, Orthomouse, etc). With this mouse you can only achieve a very mild angle; I'd say 25 degrees tops. This is where my hand leads the mouse 99% of the time: maxed out to the right. The whole idea behind this mouse is to allow the hand to use different positions and therefore avoid RSI due to repetitive movements, but if my hand is going to stay in the same position it defeats the purpose, at least for me.Finally, the mouse is a little tall and it lacks wrist support so you end up with your wrist in an uptight position. Ergonomically speaking your wrist should be neutral, never upwards.

It's ok but I like my Vertical Mouse better
I've had wrist/arm/shoulder pain for years now. It's one of the hazards of working with computers all day long. To help relieve the pain, I've tried 5 or 6 different mice over the years. While this mouse is definitely better than regular static mice, I don't find that I get as much relief with the Whirl Mouse as I do with my Evoluent Vertical Mouse.Pros:More comfortable than a regular mouseSmall USB dongle that attaches to the mouse for storageDecent rangeOn/off switchLaser mouse pointer movement accuracyCons:Not as comfortable as a vertical mouseBattery life seems a little low (only lasts about a month)Only 2 buttons (technically 3 with the wheel also being a button, but that's not very usable) - no thumb buttons

My Wrist Feels Better After A Month
So after a month of using this mouse my wrist does feel better. The burning sensation in the middle of my wrist has just about disappeared when I'm on the computer. Being wireless, and a decent size, I use it at home and on the go(which is a bonus for me). The swivel and button placement does take a little getting use to, I kept hitting the right mouse button at first, but you'll quickly figure it out. The only drawback to the mouse is, if you like playing FPS games once in awhile like I do, the mouse dpi is pretty low so you'll have to switch in your old mouse or get pwned. But I'm still giving this mouse 5 stars because I'm 5 stars satisfied. If something goes wrong I'll write another review but so far so good. :)

ergonomic mouse
The write up appealed to me as I also have been using ergonomic keyboards for many years. However I could not get used to this mouse, found it too wobbely and it tended to lean towards the right.HOWEVER, my wife tried it and has been using it since and she loves it. Much less wrist strain than her earlier mouses and easy and light to use.So that why I gave it a four star rating.
