Oase Aquamax Eco Classic 2500 E Pond Pump

My last Oase pump lasted 16 years so I hope this one lasts as long! Oase have a reputation for quality pumps and filters so in my opinion they are worth the extra cost. You get a good selection of hose fittings in the box as well.For some reason there are two long screws holding the filter case together but they seem to be surplus to requirements as there is also a simple catch to release the two halves for cleaning. Cleaning needs to be as simple as possible and I don't want to have to dig around to find the screws when the case is covered in pond mud!My old pump could have its flow controlled by means of a basic dimmer switch on the mains supply, but you cannot do this with the Aquamax, which is a shame. But apart from that it is a good pump and it seems reasonably economic in use.

This pump outdoes its self work great, a lot better than the old pump.

I think that it is too big for our very small pond and the existing output tubing may be too narrow. I think this is creating a back pressure and the pump is self-protecting and slowing itself right down. Either that or there’s something wrong with it! Trouble is- once having ascertained that it was working I got rid of all the alternative nozzle attachments so I can’t even send it back!Lessons:- check the required output carefully!Keep everything included in the purchase package until the guarantee period has expired.Simples!!

Excellent pump for a small pond, water started clearing within a few minutes & what a difference the next day!! . Easy to set up, only drawback is that I think it should have a flow adjuster
