To be honest, purchasing this watch wasn't much of a gamble for me: Being something of an aficionado (I maintain that automatic watches have far more character than their quartz counterparts and are cheaper to run) I already own a number of Burei automatic timepieces and not one of them has ever disappointed me in terms of looks, quality of manufacture or performance.However, this model is truly outstanding and I really don't see how a watch this good can possibly carry such a modest price tag.I opted for the leather strap version but I really didn't expect to see a strap like this - simple but at the same time so sophisticated. Again, I opted for the blue dial and it's beautiful - a deep, rich, Mediterranean blue that you feel you could plunge into.Glass, number indicators, hands. bezel, even the crown - all of them sparkle wonderfully in any light condition; and, without being over-heavy, the watch has a lovely substantial feel on the wrist and sits there perfectly. (Not having arms like Schwarzenegger, I personally am not a great lover of huge watch faces that resemble small clocks.) My eyesight isn't the greatest either but, despite the sparkle of the glass, I have no difficulty actually reading the time at a single glance.Luminosity obviously doesn't match that of one of those models designed to go yomping across fields with on a moonless night but it does last all night long and is a useful feature. As indeed is the date window providing outstanding magnification. (So no need to squint to see whether it's an eight or a nine.)And finally accuracy? On my wrist and given my level of activity (pretty normal for a semi-active bloke I'd say), the watch has been gaining 12 seconds a day, which is brilliant by any standards for any automatic model.In short, I'm delighted with this purchase - it's no exaggeration to say it's the watch of my dreams!I wholeheartedly recommend both the brand in general and this model in particular. :-))

I have received this watch a few days ago via post. It is simply an amazing watch. The watch jewelled with Sapphire Glass looks very elegant and expensive. This watch has a very attractive and smart dial. it is easy to alter/adjust the time on that. It comes in a good presentation box too.This is the best price you can find.I have to admit that BUREI really have great collection of watches quality wise. I am looking forward to get another soon.Highly recommended product, you will not be disappointed.

The watch is great the strap is particularly high quality, I'm very happy with it. I only dropped a star because the link removal tool sent with the watch to resize the strap was not fit for purpose and the pin bent over immediately and I had to take the watch to a timpson store to have links removed at a cost of£15.

Well working watch bit confused to set if first time having that one kind of watch but working well as well as very precise cos of a Swiss mechanisms inside very recommended watch as automatic kind of watch with a quality finish if taking eye on details made to a very good quality pice of automatic everyday use watch would recommend as present or a gift for any occasion

If you want a watch that gives homage to a Rolex watch, this is it. Although the ad says it's a Japanese movement, I guess it is. However, the box states it's made in China. But it's well built. The locking mechanism is good. I had to remove four links with my trusty watch kit for the strap to fit my wrist. I'm sure a jeweller would remove them if you don't have a link remover. I have fairly big wrists, but the watch strap caters for large wrists. It's great to have the date magnified. Thank goodness for that.

Very good value for the money. Attractive without being flashy. Looks great in an understated manner.

I like the watch a lot but the brushed finish of the silver parts of the case and bracelet has let it down for me. The silver parts of the bracelet and case should have been polished and not just the gold parts of the bracelet and case. If the silver parts of the watch were polished it would have definitely made the watch stand out and I would have given the watch a 5 star rating. Obviously everyone has different tastes and some people may like the watch as it is.
