Perfect for making sous vide cakes! Of course the lids don’t fit standard mason jars - how else could you have an 8 ounce wide mouth jar? They arrived well padded and there were no broken jars.

Perfect for storing and gifting jellies and jams.Lids, however, are not interchangeable with standard canning products like Ball or Kerr.

I find that, for two people, having a 10 ounce food/storage containers is really helpful. Unfortunately, this is not a commonly available size. So, even though I didn't need a dozen, I bought them and gave half of them away to couples who appreciated having them.

These were the perfect size for my simmer pot potpourri gifts! Will order again for other projects!

Love the jars. Problem with 2 jars being broken upon delivery, however...

I did not purchase these jars for canning. I purchased them to use for overnight oatmeal and yogurt parfaits. The jars arrived intact and the glass grade appears to be if good quality. The rim and lid are separate. I have some Ball wide-mouth lids and rims, and, just for curiosity's sake, I tried to see if the Ball lids and rims would fit the KAMOTA jars. The Ball lids fit, but the spirals on the rims did not match up. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend the purchase of this item.

I bought these jars to store kombucha in the refrigerator. I also bought wide mouth plastic lids to use on them because Kombucha is acidic and will corrode the metal lids over time. The plastic lids I bought are too big for these jars. When trying the plastic lids on Ball, Mason or Kerr jars they work fine, but will not work in these jars. It says on the side of the box that these are wide mouth Mason jars. I tried wide mouth Mason jar metal lids on these jars and they are also too big and the metal lids that came on these jars are too small for the wide mouth Mason jars. When you need to replace the metal lids on these jars you may not be able to find replacements. I am retuning the jars.

First let me say that these jars were purchased as storage jars to replace pyrex bowls that the lids keep breaking. But, in case I needed an addition WBC jar these would be needed. Having said that let me advise these ARE NOT compatible with American Ball or Kerr rings. American rings are larger. I even tried with a Basll/Kerr lid and a thicker fermenting lid and neither works with US rings on these jars. This information should be specified in the item's description. But here is an anomaly, the white WalMart canning jar lids fit perfectly. So, for canning zero stars, for storage 5 stars and I will keep them for that purpose only.
