I’ve bought a lot of matcha but this one tastes like fish. I’ve never had that happened to me before . I wonder if it is expired or it it’s compounds were altered by temperature or handling .

The flavor of this matcha is great and it mixes well...

Keeping in mind that I have no frame of reference for matcha, I'll say that while I find these powders to be aggravatingly messy, that is not a fault of the company. It is what the product is supposed to be. So, looking at what people ordinarily comment on, this definitely leans toward the grassy and not at all toward the more bitter side of what people are getting, if that helps in your decision. I like bitter, and maybe I'm less sensitive to it than most, but I mostly get the grassy flavor only and it reminds me a lot of when I used to use barley green powder, in flavor, not in solubility. My first matcha takeaway is that it is unfortunate that it clumps up so easily, so quickly after stirring/whisking/sifting, and that it is a loose, messy powder. In terms of enjoying the flavor and I think improvement in falling asleep as well, I would much rather drink this than bagged green tea, which I always liked. This costs more, substantially, and is a mess, but I really, really like this stuff, and I'm only drinking it in plain hot water. So, definitely palatable, to me. The color is amazing also and I used it in some banana/pistachio bread and used it for coloring and it was a great addition. I think I'll purchase again.

Matcha! This is really good matcha and the price was reasonable. I like to make Matcha Lattes with it. Need a frother to really make it smooth.
