Not a waste of money
This is so amazing. I love it.! I also have the stand and it fits with the stand. I am so excited to get started cross stitching.

Far higher quality than expected. Fabric holding clips are great.
I was hesitant to spend this much money on another scroll frame. I spent a reasonable amount of money on a split dowel frame previously and I couldn't stand it. It was hard to use and constantly lost tension. There were not a lot of reviews for this one, for an Amazon item anyway, and the cost was a bit high but the reviews that were there seemed genuine so I decided to go for it. I was blown away with the quality. It is all hardwood with a really nice finish. All of the edges are rounded with no sharp edges anywhere. The kit came with three different roller sizes, two different sides, and 2 sets of nuts so you actually get two frames that can be used at the same time, albeit different sizes. The clips that hold the fabric on are very secure and very easy to use and I find that aida cloth can be tensioned across the entire length and width so no side clips are needed in my opinion.

Absolute Must have!!! Love it!!
Love Love Love these scroll frames. I have a matching Arabseka standing frame as well. I am an avid stitcher and I used to hold my frame in one hand and stitch with the other. This was becoming very hard on my wrists, so I invested in a standing frame and the multiple scroll frames. Total game changer for me. The scrolls hold tight to the aida fabric and they DO NOT require tightening. The frames hold tight and true. An absolute must have for the extreme cross stitcher.

Game changing
If you know you know! How many times have you been upset that a circle hoop stretched the fabric and you couldn’t iron it out enough to frame? Or your frame was too big to accommodate a small piece? The pieces on the rods snap onto your fabric so it securely holds your pieces without damaging the fabric. And it doesn’t rely on tension screws to secure the fabric which never hold it tight enough in my experience. It’s light weight and highly efficient! The multiple holes on each bar make sizing your piece easy and secure the bars with easily adjustable screws! Seriously game changing! Thank you so much to whoever designed and produced this product! I have been cross stitching since I was 6 years old and I have never used a tool this wonderful! Again thank you!

Easy to use, needs side tension clamps to help fabric hold tension.
I love how easy it is to put the fabric on the scroll bars so I don't have to fool with basting. It's a great value because you get three sizes for the price and can have two projects going at once. Overall it is really easy to use and put together. I appreciate the wingnut tighteners (not sure of terminology) where scroll bars and side bars come together are wood capped. This is also quite light and I don't get quite so tired holding it like I do with large projects in hoops. One thing that happens will all scroll frames is the inevitable loosening of the fabric leading me to retighten regularly. This happens less than with the scroll frames I've bought from Walmart, but it would be nice to have some kind of clamps to help hold tension as part of package.

Easy to use clamps even with RA
I have tried all different types of frames from stretcher bars and scroll frames from split rail, to sewing to twill webbing strips on the rods, to velcro (which is great, but pricey to keep buying the velcro). These work wonderfully. I have on a couple of different projects and found easy to assemble, easy to center a project, and easy to place the clamps on and off--place clamps in line off the rod to make sure center clamp is centered, to allow room for the clamps on either side. (Place the center clamp and then place either side until they are all on the project.) Easy to find a line on the Aida and easy to place so the project rolls toward the design, to keep its back clean! Don't like split rails as project slips and often can't get the rods to tighten well--too much slack between the rods and hole to tighten. Have always preferred twill webbing, even if I have had to have hubby help me staple it on, but now am finding it hard to push the needle through the project and the webbing. With clamps, like velcro, it is easy to remove a project and place another on to use the frame, but velcro, to me is a waste for the cost of buying the special velcro for the fabric. I LOVE THESE WITH THE CLAMPS! They are smaller clamps in length--about the width of a hand across the 4 fingers when fingers are closed, making it easier to grasp than another company's where the clamp runs the entire length of a rod--hard to keep project centered and hold the long clamp; Hard to get a full-length clamp on and off. I had bought one frame to try with the smaller clamps and really liked, so I just bought the set with 3-sized rods and 2 pairs of extenders! Well worth its cost for the kit!

Scroll frame
I have several scroll frames and have not loved them for different reasons. I finally bought the Arabeska special edition. It is the best one so far. The fabric holds taut and the clips work well. The SE has 3 sizes which is useful. It is a $50 purchase but definitely worth the money. The quality is excellent. The wood is smooth and the frame is easy to hold.
