For a cheese grater, it is TOP NOTCH! The traditional block cheese grater cannot compete! No more manual back and forth motion, worrying that you might catch your fingers at the end! I don’t want to worry about injuries when I make food, ya know?! Simple design. I wanted this because I wanted to save money buying block cheeses. Turning the hand crank is a breeze. Not too many parts that can break either. Easy to clean with a bristle brush. Makes food prep easier and faster. Win-win!

So much easier and faster than using a traditional cheese grater! It's easy to put together, locks in place where you want it and grates so quick! The grater is sharp, works great and is a very good value for the money.

I have had this grater for more than a year now, and it has, not only held up well, but it is easy to clean, and slices better than many other similar ones. I was looking for a slicer that would slice thinly - most slicers slice too thickly for my taste. The one gives nice even, thin slices, is easy to assemble and clean, is attractive enough to leave out on the kitchen counter, and light weight. I recently used it as a cheese grater for the first time, and it easily gave me enough cheese for the recipe I was making, but also gave me some left over for other uses. I would buy it again, and would highly recommend it for others.

Works great, super easy to clean (I hand wash though it is dishwasher safe), suction works great, and shreds cheese, veggies like a champ. Great value for the money

I don't know how I lived without this all these years! It is great! It suctions to the counter so you don't have to hold it. It work fast! It is so easy to use, just pop your cheese in there and turn the crank! It gets used a lot in our house, mostly for a cheese grater and it is holding up really well. It is lightweight and easy to crank. I have arthritis in my hand and still comfortable enough to use I have no problem grating with it. It was a good investment as far as I'm concerned.

I dread shredding cheese, and usually buy pre-shredded to save time and wrist/hand pain, as I have carpal tunnel in both hands/wrists. But then I kept seeing this same giant block of cheese on sale at my local grocery store, and couldn't pass it up anymore. I bought the block of cheese, but needed to solve my problem of shredding it. I was afraid it would end up staring back at me in the fridge every time I opened it up, and eventually go bad. I was looking for something similar to what they use at Olive Garden to shred the fresh cheese on your food, and then..... I found this amazing product!What I like about this product:It's nice and sturdy! The parts are all plastic, but they don't feel like they're going to shatter if I look at them the wrong way. The unit snaps together very cleanly with little effort, and comes apart just as easy to toss in the dishwasher for cleaning.I LOVE the suction feature on the bottom of the unit, which keeps the whole thing in place while you're rotating the arm and shredding the cheese. I shredded the giant 6lb block of cheese in around 10 minutes.The hand crank is very easy to rotate and drastically reduces the time it takes to shred your favorite blocks of cheese.What I don't like about this product:The suction cup doesn't always stick. You have to make sure that the bottom of the unit is completely clear of any particles, because any surface difference between the bottom of the shredder and your countertop will break that seal and cause it to come loose.Also, you will need to shred slower than you'd like if you don't want the barrel to get clogged with cheese. If you rotate it at a slower pace, you can still clear it out manually fairly easy, but also the cheese tends to roll out much more often when you go slower. If you rotate it too fast, the cheese goes into the barrel too fast, and gets stuck. That's when you have to take it apart and clear the clog before you can reassemble the unit and keep shredding.Overall I recommend this over any standard flat or box cheese grater, especially if you have wrist or hand strength issues.Score: 4.5/5

I don’t know how I ever did without this grater/shredder. It works extremely well. The parts are dishwasher safe and are very easy to clean. When grating or shredding, most of the grated material flows right out easily into a bowl. Even softer cheeses shred easily. I needed to shred zucchini finely for a recipe, and it was 10 times easier, quicker, and safer than using a box grater. I couldn’t be more happy with this purchase. The parts fit together well, and come apart easily for cleaning. The components seem to be high-quality and I would expect this to last for a long time.

Good grater but has a couple annoyances. One being the spout is so low to the counter that you can't even put a bowl under the spout to collect the shredded cheese, so therefore the cheese flies all over the floor. Also, don't plan on shredding a softer cheese because it all gets clogged in the grater blade.
