Jim Butcher Set : Summer Knight / Death Masks / Blood Rites

The SyFy show The Dresden files was a joke. They have NOTHING on Jim Butchers books. These books are awesome and I have even shared with my family to get them to see how good they are. In fact I had to convice one family member to actually read them as he had watched the TV show and was not at all interested in the books. The books are ALWAYS better than the movies/shows. If you like magic and wizards this is for you. Its based in Chicago, IL which is really cool as I recgonize a lot of the area! This is a fantastic series and Jim Butcher really grabs you and pulls you into his world!

I have read several Jim Butcher books and I have never been disapointed. He is a fantastic writer with a great sense of humor, I am amazed at how these books just make me want to keep reading more and more. It is becoming a normal for me to start reading one of his books and not stopping till I finish it. His words not only catch my interest, but gives me a vivid picture of what is going on. This is one writer that I won't soon forget!

Fun stories, the main character is a little bit predictable, but the author puts such great twists in his plots that it doesn't matter. Interesting take on magic in a modern world and populated with believable characters that draw you into their world.

I ordered these at the same time as books 1-3, and was curious as to why the price was slightly higher. Newer books? No, they are actually slightly taller and wider than standard paperbacks. Still a good value.

Very good series. My 14 year old son and I both have enjoyed reading these books. We are always looking for a series we both can enjoy. Dresden more than accomplishes that.

can't get over just how entertaining Harry Dresden and friends(fiends) are! Best fantasy/sci-fi books with tons of humor in modern Chicago! My hope is Jim Butcher keeps writing for years to come.

If you love urban fantasy fiction, you'll love this series. Jim Butcher is an excellent writer and has created a magnetic character with Harry Dresden the wizard detective/monster hunter.

Book description said they were "like new" but these had never even been read. Excellent condition, speedy delivery at a great price!

After reading the first three books in Boxed Set #1 I couldn't wait to order the 2nd boxed set and the rest of the Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher. I just can't put them down once I start.

For any fantasy/crime/magic lovers, this series will not let you down. It has action, suspense, and mystery built right in. Thanks Mr. Butcher.
