Crisp, large-faced watch
This watch is better than expected. I have had another Victorinox watch for years, and I thought it was time for an upgrade. Very pleased with the purchase.

Nice watch.
Beautiful watch delivered quickly even during the holiday season. Have not had it long enough to see if I’ll have any issues, but so far I’m quite happy.

Nice Watch
The case seems bigger than 43mm. Easy to read the time and pretty good at night.

Reliable, functional , well made , good value
I’ve had three of these types of watches while I served as a lieutenant commander then commander They never failed ever! The luminescent always lights up when I needed especially in critical times including battlefield conditions. It is flawless ,well constructed as the batteries last for yearsTherefore this is a great value for a very well-made product and again think about this “it’s Swiss made”! That tells you everything as it is the standard for military watches. Buy ine for a lifetime !

Sharp looking watch. Sub-dials too small to read at a glance. High quality leather band.
High quality watch. Attractive watch face. Date and sub-dials too small to read a glance. Only had this watch for a few hours, but am impressed with the look and quality of build.

Excellent everyday watch
This is a very nice looking watch available at a price that I consider to be a high value compared to others available in this price range. The chronograph feature is something the average person will probably not use, but the sub-dials add a bit of complexity that make this a considerably more attractive watch than the basic Fieldforce non-chronograph model. At first glance the dial might look black but it's actually a dark navy blue. The blue-dialed version is also available with a steel bracelet (model 241857). It is also available with a black dial with leather band or steel bracelet (models 241852 & 241855) or a white dial with the leather or steel (241853 & 241856). There is also the Fieldforce Classic Chrono in various color combinations, a very similar watch with a slightly different dial design. The watch is accurate. In the time that I've had it, it's averaging about half a second lost per month, which would equate to -6 seconds per year. If a battery is changed roughly every 3 years, that would mean this watch would lose less than 30 seconds in the time between battery changes. This isn't enough for a normal person to notice that it had lost anything at all, unless you go looking for it and compare it to clocks on the internet, which are aligned with a central atomic clock that keeps perfect time. Excellent timekeeping, better than any mechanical watch including all the high-end ones.It feels well-made. The stainless steel case is brushed on the sides and polished on the top and bottom near the lugs. There's enough weight to make it feel substantial without being heavy. My wrists are about 18cm, just under 7.25 inches. It is not a small watch and at 42 cm case diameter is probably too big for anyone with a wrist under 7" or so.The leather band is high quality and the white stitching is a nice touch. Should last a while but could get damaged if the watch was worn while doing vigorous physical work. The strap could be easily swapped for something more rugged like rubber if worn for that purpose. The watch has 100m water resistance which means it could be worn swimming, but again only if the strap was swapped out for rubber as the leather would be damaged if used that way.The lume is decent but not amazing. If the watch sits in sunlight for a while during the day, the hour and minute hands as well as the numerals will glow, but not for more than a few hours in my experience. If a man is looking for a good everyday watch, this could be a good fit, especially if someone typically isn't required to dress in a formal way. It's a good match for blue jeans and brown leather shoes. Would be a good fit for many occasions other than formal events. If you do end up picking up this watch, I don't think you'll be disappointed with your purchase. It's a solid value even at retail price, but is available below retail if a person does some digging. Happy watch hunting.
