Drain Protector Hair Catcher Drain Cover

Okay, so first, I'll say, that this is a hair catcher, and it certainly does catch the hair in my shower. The one I had before had this domed top and I just didn't like it, because hair would slip under it. So I ditched it (though it was more expensive than this one) and purchased this instead.The hair is easy to lift off the drain cover. But the thing I don't like about this, is it does get mildew on the underneath. I didn't realize that was happening at first, so I let it go for a month or so before I picked it up to look under it. Yuck! So now that I know, about once a week I remove it and spray it with a bleach-based tub cleaner. That's the only thing that kept me from giving it five stars, because it does do the job.And I don't love the color. The bright blue stands out in my earth-toned bathroom. But I keep the shower curtain closed, so that's not too much of a problem.

At first, I was not convinced this product would do the job, but it does. Since the water lifts the hair above the level of this drain cover, it successfully catches the hair. It does not suction to my shower, but it doesn't need to since it stays in place.My ONLY complaint is that mold forms and sticks very well to the product. Would love some suggestions for cleaning as I have already tried bleach and conventional shower, mold, and mildew cleaners.

This catches almost all of my hair. I had the same problem for months that others complained about, when I turned on the faucet it floated away. Then I realized, that if I pop up the center it stayed in place just fine. I think you just need to adjust it to fit the specific drain cover you have. My drain cover goes up in the center so popping up the center helped it. Since I did that it has been fantastic. Once or twice a year I spray it with a bleach cleaner and do a quick scrub and the mildew is gone. I'm very happy with it.

I kept clogging my shower drain and this has done the trick! I have straight blonde hair, just past my shoulders, and I'm always loosing strands in the shower. I've been using this for a few months and I love it. It catches all my hair! Every week I just take it off the drain, pull out my hair (which comes out very easily) and lay it back on. It doesn't suction to the drain, but because the center dips down into the drain, it stays in place well! Very easy to use and effective!

Delivery was on time and arrived without issue.Price is fair. The color is a pretty vibrant light blue as shown in the photo.We were having terrible tub clogging issues before using this cover. I have extremely long hair - down to my buttocks - and am shedding a ton due to recently having a baby. We put this in our tub and haven't had a clogged drain since. We don't have a stopper, so it sits within the drain perfectly and the dome shape on the outer side sits flush against the tub floor. It catches all my hair shedding, and I simply remove the hair collected on it after each shower. It doesn't require any more cleaning than that so far. It still allows water to flow during the collection. Definitely recommend this product!

Overall we find this product very effective. We are a house of curly hair so it is important that we are able to prevent it from going down the drain. This cover does a nice job of catching the hair and it is easy to clean the hair out. It can be difficult to clean any mold/mildew so we have replaced it a few times.

This drain protector works great. It catches almost all the hair. It's also very easy to remove the hair and clean it. The soft rubber makes it so that you can pop out the middle which makes it even easier to remove hair.

Have been using this drain cover for 2 months and it really keeps the hair out of the tub/shower drain. It fits right over the drain and does not move. Hair is collected on top of cover caught in small protrusions on the edge of the cover. It is easy and not disgusting to remove accumulated hair. Cover is made of a flexible plastic-like material that can conform to different types of drains. Directions are not well written...took awhile to decipher but worth the effort. Will order another when and if this one wears out.
