Be Yourself!: A Journal for Catholic Girls

Incredibly shocked at how amazing this is!! Already sent pictures to several friends for their daughters as well!! Got for my 10 yr old but would be amazing for 9-15 yr old girls. Intriguing, page-turning with different creative activities to encourage virtue and self esteem. Amazing!

I got this for my 10 yr old daughter’s Easter basket. She immediately was attracted to it. Later, she came to me and said that it was her favorite item in her basket. She loves it and really has spent time with it. It is motivational, inspirational, engaging and most importantly, designed to encourage a habit of prayer and meditation at a young age. All while focusing on God’s love for us and our uniqueness. I am so glad that this product exists. I will definitely be buying more as gifts and for my younger daughters as well when they get older.

I just discovered this journal after one of my husband’s former students shared one of your blog posts. I have tried several types of journals for my daughter and while they were fine, this one was awesome at a whole new level. There is no question that the pre-teen and teenage years are full of challenges and feelings and attempts to discover who you are…but this journal gives constant reminders of why the most important detail is being loved by God and rooted in His love. I love the examples of saints and inspiring quotes throughout the journal that are intermixed with fun pages of writing about the things girls love and enjoy at this tender age. I love that it is culturally relevant while including great reminders of our faith! I highly recommend this journal! I have 4 daughters so I will be buying more and giving as gifts whenever I can!

The book looked so good to me that I bought it, even though it's been a very long time since I've been a "girl". This is a great book for girls and women of all ages! I'm so happy with it!!!

I bought this journal for my 11-year old daughter and it is really lovely and comprehensive. It gives her plenty to contemplate and express. I love the Catholic themes in it and the thought-provoking messages. This journal is ideal for girls of her age group and even above. I like that I can feel safe about giving her this book and that I don't have to be concerned with it containing themes that we disapprove of. LOVE THIS JOURNAL!

My 8 yr old daughter got this for her First Communion, and she loves it! It's a super fun journal with lots of great prompting questions and ideas for young girls to consider. Great activity!

So I wasn't sure how this would be received. Teenagers are strange creatures sometimes but the girl who I gifted this to absolutely LOVED it. She started filling it out about 2 minutes after she got it. She really seemed to like it. Initially had 4 stars but changed to 5. Really nice for any Catholic teen.

I bought this for my 8yo daughter even though she's a little younger than the target age range—she adores it, though, even though she's done more of the art pages than the actual writing! I know it will grow with her, though, and I look forward to using it with my other girls as well!

This was a great choice for my ten year old. It has all the quizzes and colouring pages and so on that she loves in purely secular books of a similar type but gently embraces her with a life enhancing message of her catholic faith. Despite being more expensive than similar secular books she's had in the past, I think it is well worth it - the message is a an incredibly meaningful one and the quotes and reflections from scripture and the writings of the saints makes it really special. It is printed on beautiful paper and has given her hours of happiness with a pot of pens and pencils.
