Should Be Required Reading for Everyone!
This is undoubtedly the most important book I've read in my life! The two most important things I learned from it are how to live in the moment, and how to pay attention to what's going on in, and coming out of your head; to think about your thoughts. It teaches focus, clarity of thought, and the power of positive thoughts and actions. It also helps you understand how every negative thought, word, and action that comes from you or is held in you is a little poison pill. Accumulate enough of them and they will have negative effects on your life. Without the things I learned from this book I probably wouldn't have beaten cancer. It helped me learn to control the pain of severe osteoarthritis throughout my body with minimal help from medication. It enabled me to endure an abusive spouse and survive the agonizing process of divorcing her. One of the best things about this book at least for me was that you can scan through it until you find an interesting topic, then start reading from that point. That will make you want to read other related information. If you can learn to think about what you're thinking, truly live in each moment you're given, and control your thought process, you will have the tools you need to enrich your life improve your awareness of everything, and deal with anything life throws at you.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Mindfulness for Dummies is Awesome!
My son loves this book as it is showing him how to get over his social anxiety brought on by being bullied in school. I was concerned that it had Buddhism connections which would not fit with our Christian lifestyle, but the book does not try to push any religion. Rather, the book tries to help those who are caught in social agony, like my son. He can talk with people older and younger, but he freezes when he has to talk with someone his own age. Also, he has difficulty with speaking up for himself - self-advocacy. This book is helping him to realize "how" to let things go and to have a good life.

This book is very helpful but has more of a focus on meditation than I realized. I feel that Mindfulness can be completely separated out from meditation and I was hoping that this book would have done that.

A perfect introduction to mindfulness
I had a rough idea as to what mindfulness was and wanted to find out more so I was delighted when this book was offered as a kindle daily deal. I really enjoyed this book it is a perfect introduction to mindfulness. I felt I knew the author as his personality permeated the book and the downloadable meditations were a real bonus. The book really motivated me to follow a more mindful lifestyle.I would definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting to discover mindfulness.

Straightforward, comprehensive and very useful
I've been looking for a book that combines background, advice and well produced audio exercises. This is it. Sometimes it's a bit repetitive, but it's very clearly chaptered so you can miss out the parts you don't feel are relevant to you. Thoroughly recommended.

Very easy reading but all main points covered well. I have read many core books on mindfulness but actually prefer this. I would really recommend this book to anyone, no matter how much/little you know about mindfulness.
