I initially gave this product a very negative review. I recently purchased Shea Butter from another distributer and it was not advertised as whipped. My negative review was based on the fact that Body Cherish butter did not apply like a cold cream, it was hard and had to be rubbed in the palms first. Now that I have tried another product I realize Body Cherish Shea butter was easy to rub into the palms and apply. The other shea butter requires a lot more rubbing otherwise it's chunky. Apparently shea butter is not suppose to be like whipped butter in the jar.

(Misc.)I've used it 2 ways for an honest review, both in the shower and out. The first thing I noticed when I received it is that it's a BIG jar- packed to the brim, no skimping. When I tried it the first day I thought this is so thick it'll never apply easily-- not so! Rub between your hands and it sort of liquified for easy application. Now I'm a woman in my 50's for probably 10 year I have- these white scaled dry spot in various spots on my legs that do not go away, ever! But look at the picture of my ankle (it's scar shows that I continuously pick at it) But it's GONE! And hasn't come back- that is after 2 uses! The first time I used it on my legs which like a lot of women who shave are dry, I waited throughout the day to "have to reapply" like with all lotions I've ever used and the dryness never came back. Even after sleeping my legs are soft and smooth. Even after wearing a dress-- NO CHAFING! I do not get pedicures but look at my heels- no cracks or drying like I always get this time of year with open shoes or none for that matter. On to my hair-- look at my picture my hair is fairly long but no fly aways and bonus here -- I just noticed Sunday-- no blow dryer burn! So less damage I noticed- yea! I also got a small cooking burn on my palm from touching the pot and thought what the yet I'll try the Shea butter-- those little burns hurt like the dickens but the Shea butter made it feel so much better and not even a red mark the next day. In the shower -while still wet it works just fine but very slippery so if you do that too watch that. Leaving it on my hair as I showered as a conditioner was great- but don't expect that feeling of regular conditioning agents with chemical products that make a slick feeling- it won't be like that but trust me, it's working! My hair feels renewed. My ends are soft, not split or dry and feel great. My favorite way to use it though is when my skin is not wet but both ways do work fine. The fragrance is very soft not overwhelming but if you have that "must have lotion fragrance" I recommend adding this to it or use this first. It's so worth it. My dryness is GONE and those dry spots - GONE! I'm going to try this on everything! On my face no acne! I wax and laser-- no ingrown hairs! Soft lips, not chapped. I really can't say enough about how good this Shea butter is- it's amazing! Just try it for yourself- it's a great value. Nothing added just organic Shea butter. This product is just like Shea Butter I used to buy in the local markets back home in Nigeria (without the uneven texture & impurities). No skimping, the container is filled to the brim with Shea Butter. Love, love!

Great for our skin

I have seen so many recipes to make skin products with shea butter and I will try them but I have not yet. I am too happy with just using it straight out of the container. I had never used it so I didn't know what to expect and it did throw me off. It is hard, almost waxy, and has an odd scent, not bad just different. I scarped some out and let it melt and then rubbed it into my hands and elbows just to test it out. It made my skin super smooth and felt great. After I tried it out I put it on my daughter as she has psoriasis and I am always trying to find natural remedies to help alleviate it for her. This is helping a great deal in just a matter of a few days. I am sold. I will be trying out some of the recipes for lotions and botty butters to try to help her with the scent since she didn't care much for it either.I did receive this product for free or a reduced price in exchange for my honest opinion as seen above.

Love unrefined Shea butter and Body Cherish's Shea butter is so awesome because it is so easy to apply and full of vitamins. It is is important to be aware of what you put onto your skin and I love using all natural non-toxic products.
