You Got This!: Practical Lessons for Purposeful Living

WOW. Outside of the Bible, I cannot remember a specific time when I was so refreshed and restored by reading a text. There was genuine excitement going into the reading, but I was not expecting to be challenged, convicted, and comforted to the extent I was (and I have not even completed the entire book yet!) I attribute this impact to the fact that the format is consistently small chapters with incredible content. You Got This! includes many hands in the making of it, accumulating the work and hearts of over twenty-five authors, yet it does not feel as if it is exhausting or intimidating to read because each chapter is concise and substantial. I did not expect how quickly I would read through each new lesson, which encouraged me all the more to continue to read, knowing I could always fit just one more chapter into whatever time I had to read. It is so cool that each new chapter (a few are continuations) starts a new topic with a new author, and with every author a unique writing style and perspective to the material they were interacting with. Even though I loved the format of “brief but powerful” it almost felt like I was wanting more by the end of each chapter because the content of each was so captivating. In the first four installments in You Got This!, I was brought face-to-face with the state of my faith, coming into contact with great encouragement as well as great self-reflection. In full honesty, not much has changed in my personal with the walk with Jesus yet, but now I have great starting points to reignite my faith.

As one of the contributing authors, I can attest that my fellow colleagues live out the wisdom shared in their respective chapters. I can't wait to share it with my students. A helpful resource perfect for high school and college/university students, parents, faculty, and staff.
